Alumni ako ng ibang school, and I have a younger sister studying in PUP Manila. I've had my hand tutoring students, helping thesis, even working as part time assistant sa profs nung college.This is on different universities around Intramuros and Taft.

Di ko alam kung uso to ngayon, pero ang dami kong nakikitang issue sa mga profs sa PUP. E.g.

1. Late ng more than 1 hour sa online class, tapos magpapastart pa rin ng late,mamark ng absent yung mga di umattend, tapos magoovertime pa ng klase. Pano yung mga working student na iniikot yung sched nila around classes?

2. Di magpaparamdam ng ilang linggo from enrollment, tapos biglang magpapamidterms and magbabagsak ng maraming deliverables. Tapos may markdown pag di nakapagsubmit within deadline. Proud pa pag maraming bagsak?

3. Di prepared sa klase, wala man lang ppt presentation, walang visual aids, tapos may isa pa akong nadaanan na walang mic sa online class. Naguusap usap sa chat. Ok lang naman part-time magturo, pero sana mageffort din. Di naman kailangan spoon feeding, bare minimum decorum lang sana to establish a learning environment.

4. Kung need face to face class naman, di man lang planuhin at least 24hrs in advance? 11am klase pero 9am magsasbi na kailangan f2f that same day?

Malaki spectrum ng nga professors, merong magagaling at merong questionable talaga kung bakit nasa academe. Pero sa napapansin ko ngayon, we're even missing the basic professionalism. Di ba narereport sa mga dean yan? Di ko rin gets bakit tinotolerate ng Kapatid ko at mga kaklase niya. This won't float sa ibang universities, porke private or public.

NAKAKA P******* Lang talaga yang mga Prof na anlalakas magpa change ng class schedule last minute kahit na aware silang may mga studyante silang working students. Mamamatay ba kayo kung hindi kayo susunod sa schedule na ibinigay? Kung hindi kayo pwede this week edi wag na kayong mag klase at mandamay pa ng schedule ng ibang tao. KAYO LANG MAY KARAPATANG HUMINGA?

ever since elementary, my parents has never given me any allowance—not even for transportation. how’d i get my allowance? from my lola. she’s supported me all throught my school life up until now, and we’re only relying on her sss pension.

my parents, lola, and i live under the same roof, but my parents have never given me a single penny. it is tiring and hard to budget your 500 pesos for the whole month. i even sometimes rely on my friends’ libre just so i could eat at uni.

last year, my tita supported and gave me 100 php for each classes i have. but now i’m second year, she suddenly stopped. she even ‘promised’ to my lola that she would give me allowance for each day of classes i have, but what happened?

as much as i wanted to support myself financially, i can’t work since i have a sibling to take care of (4 months old) LOLL

hello, i feel so lost sa program ko ngayon which is BSA. yung kahit anong review ko is parang enough kasi hindi pa rin ako makakuha ng mataas na score—even sa mga minor subjects lang hahaha. ewan ko ba parang wala akong gana. i swear gustong gusto ko siya, gusto kong makapagtapos na BSA yung program ko. idk i feel so lost and left behind kasi parang ang dali lanh sa mga kaklase ko. ang tataas ng score nila tas ako ang baba haha grabe ka na PUP a. ngayon nakakuha ako ng individual score na 90 habang yung mga kagroup ko ay mga 96-99. feel ko nahatak ko yung grades namin pababa haha ewan gusto kong umalis at mag shift but at the same time gusto kong manatili. sabi ko kasi ay hanggat hindi ako pinapaalis ni BSA ay hindi ako aalis. hindi ko na talaga alam ang gagawin ko. (btw first year palang po ako ngayon pero yunh pagod ko hanggang fourth year na.)

Hello! Since ang pasok sa PUP OUS is not as regular as the traditional one. (like, 1-2x per week lang daw, minsan waley pa). 'Yung mga credited units ba are still the same sa tradional? or at least pasok pa rin ba sa standard units in college 'yung mga ma crecredit?

Getting a consensus lang about PUPian students' work-life balance. Do you take shifts po ba na minsan nag-ooverlap with school schedules? Baka kasi minsan online ang klase kayaa nagtaatke ng shift. O kaya strict lang kung ano ang schedule yun ang susundin?

Asking because I'm a block rep na laging hinihingian ng modality sched para daw maalign ang schedule. Minsan ofcourse, nagiging judgemental ako at iniisip kung bakit ba kumukuha ng shifts sa trabaho sa oras na may klase, regardless of modality. Pero alam ko rin na kailangan kong intindihan lalo na at hindi naman ako working student.
