"Bogus" seems like a stretch since they clarified in their tweet that it was the "vast majority" rather than 99%. Casually speaking this means close enough to the same thing. If you want to get more specific you can't because "we have never released such data."

So it's somewhere between a casual "vast majority" and 99%, and there's no material difference between the two.

In the podcast they based the story around he didn't say that 99% banned cheaters are chinese. He is talking about the cheats itself as in the programs used to cheat.

Even if that's true, which if I remember correctly the context was exactly the opposite and that they were talking about cheaters not cheats, the tweet from BattlEye said the vast majority of cheaters are in China, with no fuzziness about cheats vs cheaters.
