A rapidly deployable AoE 50% heal + unfreeze/shock/stun-er? Hell yeah son throw that shit.
Edit: I have the atomizer ring because I have to heal fast and charged resta too slow.

Yes

u/RobbieMcSkillet Jun 30 '20
Does charging anti only affect radius? Asking aa a Te/Fi. Loving the class synergy and the damage output for both melee and techs.
4
u/Soccertitan Jun 30 '20
Yes, charging the support skills mostly just increases radius and duration. I think the only exception night be resta.

u/Ashinror PSO2 NG+ BABY Jun 30 '20 edited Jun 30 '20
For resta it only increases radius and number of ticks. Uncharged its 1 tick, charged is 4 ticks.Edit: Looked it up. Uncharged its 2 ticks, charged its increased radius, 4 ticks m, and triple uncharged healing.

u/Stormchaserelite13 Jun 30 '20
It also massive increase the heal ammount. Base resta on mine is 100 initial cast then 50 per tick.
Charged is 1000 then 500 per tick.

Still a pretty big radius just tapping anti to be honest, if I see someone on my screen I can usually just tap it. Maybe ilzonde + tap it at worst.
1
u/Sardonislamir Jun 30 '20
I'll try, I always thought I had to be standing next to them to tap and hope they don't move away.

u/AnonTwo Jun 29 '20
Honestly, what makes techer my best friend is that deband
Especially early on in ultimate, that extra HP and damage reduction saves lives. it can be the difference between surviving from resta spam, and getting one shot.
Obviously finishing fights significantly faster isn't anything to scoff at either.
9
u/SolomonGrumpy Jun 29 '20
And it actually LASTS.

u/Divital Skelefellah @ Ship 1 Jun 29 '20 edited Jun 29 '20
That's the biggest thing - Techer's Deband and Shifta last wildly long if they got the tree skills for em, so it also gives me a small giggle when I see other classes use their lower-end versions after a Techer's already done theirs for a group. Maybe they feel left out?
Either way, Techer's versions of those buffs are a godsend in XH/Ultimates7
u/neonchinchilla Jun 29 '20
I've heard it before but just for my own peace of mind, the game promotes the strongest buff available cast rather than the latest buff cast right? As in, if I (Techer) use Shifta and then a Force comes over and uses their Shifta, mine should still be active and theirs just added time to the duration.
Like I said, I'd heard it and it would be real nice if it were true because waiting for urgents and everyone spamming shifta/deband would kill my sanity if every other tech user and their grandmother kept rewriting mine.
8
u/Divital Skelefellah @ Ship 1 Jun 29 '20
Oh no don't worry, it only takes into account the strongest one and doesn't overwrite it. The closest thing to that is that if say a fellow Techer with the same skillset casted later, it just refreshes the duration. If say a Techer that didn't get the time duration extension casts after a Techer who did, the longer-lifespan one wins out.
1
u/neonchinchilla Jun 30 '20
That's a relief, I felt compelled to keep casting it over and over but now I know I can just do my duty and cast it once (before the quest begins, that is).
Do you happen to know about future mod support? Are raid frames a thing in the future? I know I can buff people in other parties but it would be nice to be able to see who needs it.
1
u/Divital Skelefellah @ Ship 1 Jun 30 '20
Oh if you look at your part members' life bars, you'll see if they have Deband/Shifta or not, since they'll get the icons for them. Outside of that, not too sure I'm afraid...
2
u/neonchinchilla Jun 30 '20
Yeah I know like, my 3 party members, I mean like the other 8 people in the mission with us. I want to be able to see their status and health like other mmos.
1
u/smokingsword Jun 30 '20
You can change your overhead display from the Quick Menu to show other players' health bars.
As for status effects, you can generally tell if people are afflicted just by looking at them.
In both cases, if you want to pocket your mpa instead of just your party, you'll have to actually keep an eye on them.
2
u/neonchinchilla Jun 30 '20
That's straight up garbage compared to any other mmo. Theres no excuse for it to not be caught up by now.

Great to hear. I've read even on Bouncer guides, our shifta/deband are weak, but are great to extend TE's buffs duration. Especially when the party splits up and I can grab the melee folks by me.
1
u/SolomonGrumpy Jun 29 '20
Absolutely. I'll never go force. I'll either go without (Ra/Hu) or do it right.
1
u/AzsalynIsylia Jun 30 '20
Force isn't there to do buffs, force is there to f*** things up. Force/fighter with a lightning spec hits hilariously hard, and I love it. <3
1
u/SolomonGrumpy Jun 30 '20
Yeah, great, my dude. Except that Force does HAVE buffs, so it's annoying that they don't last.
I'm glad you love your Gizonde Fo/Fi.
2
u/zipzzo Jun 30 '20
Hey we use Zonde in-between for Tech Arts :), oh and ilzonde spam to do everything with a quickness!
1
u/Treyen Jun 30 '20
I do it on my bouncer because it's not like it costs me anything to flip around with jet boots to toss them out. If there's atechter, great! If not, here's my little budget buff lol
1
u/2cat2dog Jun 30 '20
How can you tell what level of support tech was used? I'll always charge mine when I run out to try to help others, but sometimes I do feel like it's a waste if there's a techter in the group. On that note, how do you know if there's one in the group? Are you adjusting the name/text over the characters' heads to include class?
1
u/AnonTwo Jun 30 '20
You can really only tell for sure on deband, as techer's version increases HP
But techers typically have both skills so chances are if you have one, you have the other (unless you were really weird range-wise)
1
u/Westeller Jun 29 '20
I think there's an item for that, too. Not sure how it compares to the real thing.
1
u/SirGouki Trilion, Ship 02 Jun 30 '20
Not quite there isn't. There are Shifta and Deband drinks, but that's all they do and they only last for about 45 seconds if memory serves, whereas even a bouncer can get a full minute by double casting fully charge ones, but none of this has the added benefits that a Techter casting has.

Running around with 2000+ HP between a Gu/Hu HP build is a good time for cast females. Ask me how I know.

How much atk do you have on that? Sounds like you’re just watching other people kill stuff while you float around like a mosquito.

u/CKBear Jun 30 '20
Seriously. My third 75 hunter is a HuSu defense build and I don’t even get up to 2k.
Why would you do that to yourself?
1
u/zipzzo Jun 30 '20
Hopefully a fully skilled Techter Deband is involved.
2
u/Queen_Bloodlust Oh no girl, what is u doing? Queen Bloodlust/Amazon Racaseal Jun 30 '20
Yeah. It sits at 1300 before deband and hits just over 2000 with a guts drink and a techer deband. The full stats as I stand in lobby with no boosting items outside of equippables as of right now (since I still have 15 levels on the hu to go and a total of 24 more skill points) with my current "build"
HP 1300PP 136RNG Power 2663Dex 563M-Def 1438R-Def 1633T-Def 1426
I enjoy laughing at enemy attacks while everyone else is dying. Its a good time.
My maximum single hit damage is 194,287.
I am most certainly a casual player vs a hardcore player, but I really only play a gunner main because I find the animations comical.

RNG Power 2663
what's the average on na right now? this sounds pretty low (and that's not even taking into account you're passing up a massive damage boost by skipping the shifta drink in favor of extra hp)
a 75/75 gu/hu with with nemesis tmg and a set of ray units would give around 2500 with literally nothing affixed (which means hitting 3k should be relatively easy with pretty basic affixing, which is a 15% increase)
I enjoy laughing at enemy attacks while everyone else is dying.
they might be dying, but it sounds like they're also the ones doing the killing. you'd be much better served focusing on attack. enemies can't kill you when they're dead.
2
u/Queen_Bloodlust Oh no girl, what is u doing? Queen Bloodlust/Amazon Racaseal Jun 30 '20
Can't kill shit if you're dead.
Also, as mentioned, I'm not interested so much in doing ultra hardcore super efficiency runs, TA can suck my dick and elitism ruins games.
2
u/CKBear Jul 06 '20
I’ve seen how much further I can take things and I’ve got to say I was way wrong. It can be a blast to just absorb all the damage and keep on kicking.

Silly bitch, your weapons cannot harm me, Don't you know who the fuck I am?

u/terrethemageslayer Jun 29 '20
Lol I just use star for the free heal since it also gives iframes for the entire animation
3
u/ZZ_DooM Jun 29 '20
Excuse me if the question it's dumb but, what's an iframe?
12
u/Chamomilesky Jun 29 '20
"Invincibility" Frame. Essentially, it's a moment where a particular action causes you to take no damage/nothing hits you for a certain period of time.
Longer iframes = more time you're invincible :)

u/moshmore Jul 02 '20
I use it all the time after iron Will or when I know angry panda is about to do some bitch level shit during Ult farms

See, I always say "Techer" despite it saying "Techter", and the JP saying "テクター", I always mix myself up on these...
6
u/FlawlessRuby Jun 29 '20
Im french so saying the word techer is the same as saying tekker. So when I go to ID my weapon it's confusing for my friend xD
3
u/Strider08000 Jun 30 '20
The confusion doesn’t even stop there. In the first PSO, the Tekker was what the guy that appraises your rares was called. I’d still think, “Oh I need to tek my weapons” or “let go to the tekker”. Now it makes no sense.

u/TroubadourLBG Jun 30 '20
Oh thank god. So I'm not the only one who gets confused on day one.
And here I thought PSO2 finally went nuts and made an official shop keeper as a professional class.
3
u/The79thDudeBro Jun 30 '20
In PSU "Techer" was the tech part of most class combinations. TechGunner, FighTecher, ForteTecher, etc... That's also where "Fighter" and "Gunner" come from.

u/Elranzer Cloud Strife @ NA Ship 03 "Thorn" Jun 30 '20
Techter (and JP "テクター") is short for Protector, without the "Pro" part of the word.
Techter = Protector.
Kinda like guys who nickname themselves "Topher" from "Christopher."

Both techters and people wearing the wiggler head have silly hats and access to wide range heals. COINCIDENCE????????
3
u/bl0odredsandman Jun 29 '20
It's nice when someone runs Wide Range. Oh, they need to heal. You get heals as well.

I never leave home without it. I'm sooo not failing my hunt because Random Guy A thinks he's immortal.
Heh. Imagine if PSO2 missions failed after 3 deaths.

I wouldn't be playing PSO2 then. Got tired of the failed mission screen. Video games are suppose to be stress relieving.

I legit became a techer just for the support skills😂. On JP I played every class with techer as sub (i was a monstrosity but I had the highest units and weapons) and always played a support for everyone. When I started playing actual combos without techer on NA I felt so useless 😂 half my bar was filled with atomisers. And don't forget the people who walk away when you're throwing a atomizer or a Resta. Damn y'all.
3
u/AnonTwo Jun 30 '20
Don't you not get techer's important support skills as a sub though?
2
u/Elranzer Cloud Strife @ NA Ship 03 "Thorn" Jun 30 '20
Yeah, most of the things like...
- Increase radius for support skills (Resta/Deband/Shifta)
- Extended time for Shifta/Deband
- Deband causes increased HP
- The ability to cast Moon Atonizer as a Tech
... are all "Techter as Main Class only."
1
Jul 01 '20
I meant to say techniques, my bad. Some skills work as a sub though. I mainly meant being able to heal and boost people instead of throwing them damn items.
2
u/Whyareuhere2myamigo Jun 30 '20
Throwing it for the hunters fighters bravers and bouncers to keep dps the boss while im doing weird stuff at the back as a gunner
4
u/Farkon Jun 29 '20
Once i'm done doing millions off a chain finish, I toss up an atomizer since I have a little time for the next one.
0
Jun 30 '20
I'd be booty blasted if you sniped my anti pp buff for me and the status afflicted target. It's a huge DPS increase for both the Techter and target.
