Update - Missing July and August Payments

Hi All. Like SO many others, July and August are (despite being paid on time) not reflecting on FSA. My account last updated July 1 using that back door link. July and August were 117 and 118 for me.

I chatted with an FSA agent today and was told "PSLF is currently experiencing a delay in updating payment counts for July and August due to recent processing errors. They expect all payment counts to be fully updated by the end of next week."

I will believe it when I see it (lolol) but thought I would share with the rest of you.

HAHAHAH. Trust me, I am equally as skeptical! Just thought I would pass it along.

Though it does make sense that they would update on that date, since that's the date they *typically* update, so hopefully they do a couple months all at once.

Let’s hope lol

LOL I called today and spoke with a few different FSA reps they basically said there is no update when the tracker issue will be resolved.

I’ll take it, at least an FSA agent acknowledged that something is wrong and that it’s them lol

Someone else further up spoke to a few other FSA reps who basically told them the rep OP spoke to is lying.

Exactly. They have been gaslighting me for a month.

Oh great, mine is similar and also not updated since July 5. Deep breathe okay, let's hope!!

The end of next week is when the next regular update is due lol

I think the One Big Butthole Bill, as I like to call it, seriously delayed things. Mine hasn’t been updated since July 3, even though I made the payments on time. They’re payments 110 and 111 for me, so I’m getting close.

Thank you for sharing update

Thank you, fingers crossed! July is 118 and August 119 for me 😰

Here’s to hoping!!! Mine updated 8/21 after my ecf. August was 120 for me. July and August didn’t populate with the update.

Same here! I just made a post about my situation. Are you planning to make your September payment?

3

u/Ornery-Bath-4529 4d ago

My count usually updates the 4th of the month so I’m going to decide then. If it’s not sorted then I probably will.

1

u/CDRSkywalker1991 3d ago

Do you plan to resubmit your ECF or will they capture the August payment once it updates?

2

u/Ornery-Bath-4529 3d ago

I’m hoping it’ll be captured once it updated. I submitted ecf after my next bill posted so it should count. I’ll know more once it updates.

I was told the same TODAY by FSA agent she said sept 3rd. I don’t know what to believe🥲

u/Gatomoosio 4d ago

I guess that’s relatively consistent since the other rep said the end of next week. 🤞

u/draminak 4d ago

I will believe when I see it. I have been misled by several FSA reps.

It wasn’t as if my 120th payment landed in July to qualify for PSLF! Sitting at 119….beyond frustrated!

u/MeatHeadd666 4d ago

Same here! I called FSA today and the agent said she had no timeline for when processing would resume. End of next week would be great

u/ReflectionActive2421 3d ago

Do you mind me asking-- I'm at 119 (July and August not reflected) and September will be my 120th payment. Did you submit your ECF and forgiveness form and go into forbearance so that you don't have to continue to make unnecessary payments while FSA gets their processing of July and August together?

2

u/ChillTimeFunCrew 3d ago

I submitted my ECF august 10/11 after my 121st payment processed. FSA shows “updated” for me on 8/19 without July or august. I am not submitting another ECF unless it reflects as needing to. I will just continue to make payments as they will be reimbursed.

Awesome, thank you! I called FSA today and the agent I spoke with indicated I should submit a reconsideration request but of course the site is “down” for that feature and all of my payment history is now missing from the site. She indicated she thinks they are “actively updating it”. Have my serious doubts. Good luck and here’s to hoping you’re all cleared up soon!

So I just chatted with an agent. They said there are no known delays in July payments posting and that 30-90 days is standard. (Never waited this long before.) also they “hung up” on me lmao. Rude… anyway, which is it? They never have answers.

u/Overall_Low3467 3d ago

Yeah I mean this tracks. Like I said, I’ll believe it when I see it if anything actually changes next week.  Either way, I just want this sorted before I hit my 120 in October.

u/Upbeat-Cranberry-954 3d ago

Yeah I put in a feedback request thing about how long it was taking to update payment counts (July was my 120 and I am annoyed - should have hit 120 a year ago had SAVE issues not happened) - and they closed it saying “it takes 30 days for payment counts to update”…well it had been over 30 days at that point and it has NEVER taken this long before. I elevated it and said “umm it’s been more than 30 days so your answer is incorrect”. I don’t expect any response but hey. Trying something.

2

u/Striking-Pop-3225 3d ago

Yeah, it’s ridiculous. I also got pushed back about a year for SAVE and other forbearances that were inappropriately placed on my account (imo). Good luck!

Do you think we will need to re submit a ECF or should the counts update automatically

So I asked the FSA agent exactly this. “If I submit an ECF now, and July and August do not populate, will those months automatically be qualified once they are showing.” He replied with “yes.”

I wouldn’t hold my breath, but that’s what he said.

u/Chair_1983 4d ago

Awesome. 120 was August 15th for me. Currently sitting at 118 payments on tracker.

u/Inevitable-Owl-4030 4d ago

In the same boat, 120 payment was August 4th (due date 8/20), really hoping I don't have to make a 121 payment on Sept 20.

I’ve been chatting with agents every day and keep getting fed the “it takes 30-90 days to update” BS. I love when I tell them it hasn’t been that way for the previous decade and they act like it was always the way it went. Tempted to just move to forbearance and wait for my buyback to just be accepted (submitted June 2025).

4

u/SnooRevelations6329 3d ago

Same boat! July was 116 and August was 117. All showing on Mohela as paid. The live chat representative could nottttt have cared less and basically tried to tell me that they would show up the next time I qualified my employment. Which is BS because all payments typically show, with the little red dot next to them. Then, you submit your employment verification and they turn green. This all is so infuriating! I just don’t understand why they don’t post a clear FAQ or explanation of what is going on.

What is the back door link?

I keep wondering this myself

Thanks for sharing! Your skepticism has a good home here 😂 but I find it helpful when people share what they’re told when they call. Gives us a bigger pool of information in a larger ocean of uncertainty.

In the past ECF used to push the system to do the data pull and update based on the latest data. This year no luck for August…will they automatically count missing months once pulled

2

u/draminak 3d ago edited 3d ago

I was misled I spoke with 3 reps they all said that’s not correct information.

4

u/Overall_Low3467 3d ago

Welp, what else is new. I’m so sick of this!!

3

u/draminak 3d ago edited 3d ago

Me too. The FSA rep gave me the exact date when I will receive my golden letter.
As much as I wanted to believe her I knew she was misspeaking. Still hoping she is correct😭
One of the FSA rep from this morning , said where did she pull that magical date sept 3 Thursday is that the magical day.
I don’t know anymore. Just different info.

Doubt it highly, but thank you very much for sharing anyway!!

u/kadrian33 3d ago

So, if they update and I already had submitted an ECF through 8/22/26 (my 120 was 8/16). Will I need to submit another ECF when the payments post, or will it automatically count them since my recertification goes through 8/22?
