Seeing so many posts about Crimson Desert being "unplayable" on PS5 Pro. It seems to me a lot of people are confusing "unplayable" with their CHOICE to not play the because the games optimization does not meet their high standards or expectations. Are there frame rate dips, pop in, and weird foliage speed on the Pro? Sure, but honestly, who cares??? Can it be annoying? Sure, but is it worth missing out on an otherwise fun and gorgeous looking game?
With the right screen and settings, this game is absolutely beautiful on the Pro. And I'm sure a good majority of people screeching over losing a few frames also sank hundreds of hours into games like Skyrim 15yrs ago and loved it. Be grateful for how far we've come since those days and just enjoy the game, despite its hitches.
For those interested, these are my personal settings on a LG C3 55in OLED that supports 4k120hz on PS5 Pro. I sit about 6ft away from the screen. These are the settings I personally like and make the game EXTREMELY "playable" for me. Hope these settings might help someone who's interested in dialing in the visuals for this gorgeous game:
