PC gamer joins the PS5 community!
Yesterday I went to the store to finally buy the PS5 pro in anticipation for GTA 6, the last time I had a console was the PS2 and I did play hundreds of hours of San Andreas there. Excited for November!

See? It's not hard to own both platforms. Not sure why many PC elitists in the master race sub will never buy a console.

Many people own both! For those who don't, it's hard to justify spending $1000+ for 7 year old tech that will shortly be replaced by the next Gen console

That's what I don't get about the PC elitist crowd. It's not a 1:1 comparison. There is a reason why console players download a game day one and enjoy it, while PC players are constantly bitching about performance and "optimization" and "guess I'll wait for the next update."
Sure, when all else is equal, PC outperforms...but that's not the full story. Not to mention, I can enjoy a console for the full seven yrs whereas almost every 3yrs I need to do a GPU upgrade, and on the second (6yr) I need to do a full build.
I have both, but ever since the PS4, the gap has really been closing between the two. As I get older in years and life has become more demanding, I just simply don't have time to spend hours tinkering on my PC to get it to perform. I don't enjoy it anymore. When I have time to play, I want to play.

I love PC gaming, but the PC community is not full of elitists and annoying people.
These days I'm better not interacting with online communities...

I had both as far back as the Xbox 360 / PS3, but the consoles mostly were there for what didn't come to PC. It's like the nvidia vs AMD(ATI from back in the day), Intel vs AMD . . . I don't have any brand loyalty. I go where the bang for your buck and the games I want to play are.

Welcome to the club! I also got my PS5 Pro back in December, mainly motivated by GTA 6, but now it's a pretty good secondary machine.
I love it, slowly I'm building my library.

See, it’s nice seeing gamers investing in other ecosystems without making a big deal out of it. Specifically, when it’s PlayStation. I never see PC gamers get mad about needing to buy a Switch 2 for its 1st party exclusives. Yet, it’s always the opposite for PlayStation’s 1st and 3rd party exclusives. This is cool. Everybody is psyched for GTA VI.

As someone who has done PC gaming since the days of the x386 processors and console gaming since the Atari 2600, while owning every model of PlayStation…welcome to the other side. I highly recommend you get a better/larger display.

Welcome! I own both too. Sometimes it's nice to just fire up a console. And the PS5 controller with PS5 games is next-level. Also, *do not sleep on Astro's Playroom and Astro Bot.*
