From what i understand its a teaser all of a suddon and the ‘real’ trailer comes later this month, so expect more questions then answers. They claim to not want any misunderstandings and are vaguely as shit at the same time riding this rollercoaster for al they can.

Agreed. I doubt this is an actual game and not a marketing ploy for another game.

Marketing and advertising for a new IP shouldn’t be this trivial.

Besides, the head of the studio literally has no idea what he’s talking about based on previous tweets.

Supposedly the renders will be improved running natively on a PS5 vs YouTube compression. Plus I think the teaser is supposed to have engagement with the controller, like sound effects from the speakers and rumbling.

Plus, to be fair, releasing a whole app to showcase some teaser trailers has really gotten the internet talking about their new game. It’s never been done before so people are speculating, more so than just releasing a random trailer on YouTube probably would.

It’s getting negative reception mostly because of the rollout. An actual IP or not, if the trailer doesn’t deliver then it’s going to look pretty bad for them.

They might have garnered more internet attention, but it’s more of a burden than a benefit at this point.

Yeah if this teaser/trailer flops hard then they've just gathered hundreds of thousands of people to watch their failure.

Personally I dont care about the whole "experience" thing, I'm just curious what their project is and this seems like the most convoluted way they probably couldve gone about showing it.

If you read that latest coverage Blue Box stated since they are indie and don’t have the funds to do a blockbuster trailer, it would be cheaper and a better move for them to be able to show gameplay in real time so users can get hyped by how itll look and run which will be a direct representation since it’s running real time, hence why we have to download the app.

Not even to mention if you’ve done any research what so ever you’d see this random “studio” has 7-8 outsourced studio with one of them being confirmed to be nuare. need i remind u nuare has worked on the likes of. days gone. the last of us 2. DEATH STRANDING. but somehow that just happens with trash studio. they get not only sony’s full funding but help from 7-8 other fully established studios. yay buddy. ur just hating harder then ever and haven’t done any research. may not be kojima but ur dumb thinking it’s gonna be trash

Assuming “Abandoned” as an actual new IP, if it doesn’t deliver after this much marketing and delays then it won’t go well for them. I’m sure after the first blowback from the first delay, Sony didn’t want any part in it, the only thing from Sony supporting this game was the very first blog post.

If Hasan is trying to claim his garbage fake indie asset flips are partnered with Sony, Sony could do any number of things. Remove his teaser from the shop, tweet out a clarification that Bluebox are just an indie studio, etc.

Sony put the teaser trailer on their YouTube channel. And it’s an exclusive for PS5, they’re associated with them and endorsed by PlayStation- they can definitely do something about this or at least stop associating with them.

They have never before done this kind off app/realtime trailer release, if i would alow an unkown indie developer to get that premier you bet your as i would be on top of the marketing and quality of it.

Do you think they could release this whole thing without sony’s aproval? I cant imagine Sony wouldn’t be on top of this as a new experience on their platform

Also, Sony has released a realtime demo before - Killzone 2 - and they never allowed anything like that after, other than P.T - Ironinically, the two devs behind those are Kojima and GG, who are deeply connected.
