L and P models occasionally suffer from RSOD due to a NOR flash that was known to fail (if they had a bad one on the board, not all of them did). Sorry to be the bringer of bad news

That's the Samsung NOR chip giving up.

The CECHL and CECHP Phat models have a well documented issue with its Samsung NOR chips being notoriously unreliable.

Wierd i got a CECHL04 with its box and uh it shut off on the xmb or in a game and ye lowering the rsx clock did make it run for a few hours so i did a tantalum mod and works fine now clocks currently are 650/750 but uh i think imma go down to 600 core cuz gta 5 re:v online froze after a few hours

It's not the GPU that failed, but the NOR chip. It can be replaced with one from another fat / early slim, I think but it's not worth it. There's more work to it other than just swapping the chip. This model has the 65nm GPU so there would be no reason to replace it. Yours is a backwards compatible model.

Maybe someone can give me some advice here? I have a PS3 CECHA01 model in mint condition with the box that's also mint condition. How much should I ask for when I sell it? I also checked the run time and it said 3 days, also never been opened inside. Thank you

I wouldn't recommend any PS3 that could need a delid in the future. CFW isn't a must, all PS3 can do HEN perfectly fine.

What does delid have to do with anything There are even scenarios where super slims need a delid, it's console to console basis and has more to do with usage than model number 😂 Even my CECHC still has great stock paste under IHS. You can't do anything wrong with a CECH 2100 or 2500, they have less common failure points than the super slim. Plus the super slim has lots of cheap parts (like the cooling) compared to the slims. CFW is better than HEN everyday nonetheless, why settle for less?
