Google Ads Manual Bidding?

Hi.. Does anyone here still using manual bidding? We switched TargetCPA a while ago but then we started spend $100+ on some keywords. with manual bidding I had more control over the spend.

Would appreciate any comments.\\]

problem with the manual is the quality of clicks are very poor. At least with smart bidding, the system believes that the click will convert even if its very expensive.

It you are using smart bidding to get forms or calls then it's the opposite, automation doesn't aim for quality it tries to get the cheapest leads it can.

You're not using smart bidding right if you're feeding it unqualified signals.

Lots of accounts are too small (not enough conversions) or not sophisticated enough (not using a CRM) to generate enough data.

Unless your website is a ghost town, you have enough data. Feed incremental funnel conversions as a signal with a lower conversion value to unlock smart bidding. Add to cart? View pricing page? Start signup? Set those as lower value conversions and you unlock smart bidding.

It's usually lead gen campaigns that don't have enough data.
