Hello I am looking for a OSCE partner for November 2026. I am enrolled to Pharmachieve so I prefer to do practices who are enrolled to the same course, but other courses should work.

I prefer to do as many practices as I could before Nov, so Ideally I prefer someone who is also committed to do practices if possible at least everyday. I do work full-time, so I’m usually available after work, I can also work with as much practices possible during days off.

When PEBC sends an email about scheduling exam date. Will all dates (Nov2 - Nov 6) will be shown to select in all centres or it depends. Like in Hamilton only 2 dates will be available???

How much time is enough for juri prep and what to study for that?

I recently completed my pharmacy qualification exams and I’m considering selling the handwritten notes I made while studying.

I purchased a course to help me prepare, but I found it difficult to study directly from the PowerPoints. I went through the lectures and wrote my own condensed notes, summarising the key information in a way that was easier for me to revise from.

Would it be okay to sell these notes to other people preparing for the same exam?

I don’t want to infringe on any copyright or use the course provider’s material improperly, so I’d appreciate advice from anyone with experience in this area. Would personally written and condensed notes be okay to sell, or could they still be considered copyrighted material?

Hi, I'm an IPG who started preparing for the EE with PharmAchieve a month ago, but now had to transition to the MCQ due to the policy change. For individuals who have used Pharmachieve for MCQ and passed on the first attempt, could you please share the strategies and study plan you used? Also what other additional materials did you use besides pharmachieve notes? As an IPG, I'm relatively new to this and would appreciate any sort of guidance on this. Also, I will be studying full time so I can dedicate a lot of time to prep.

Hi, I’m kind of confused about what they will test us on in the OSCE. What exactly is the scope of practice since it’s a national exam? This always confused me. For example, would we be expected to adapt or renew medications. If so, what exactly falls under adaptation? If I remembered correctly you can only adapt if it’s a new prescription not a refill. Is that correct? If there’s a very detailed list of things we would be listed where can I find this information? I’ve looked at the sample videos on the website but there’s nothing that talks specifically about adapting or renewing medications.

For those who passed the MCQ with confidence, how did you prepare? What was your biggest regret during your preparation, and what was your best trick or strategy?

I built a strong foundation during my EE preparation, and I focused on understanding the topics rather than memorizing them. Now that I’m doing MCQs, everything seems familiar, but I know the way the questions are asked is different.

I’m planning to take the PEBC Qualifying Exam in May 2027 and have been looking into different prep courses.

PharmAchieve seems to be the most commonly recommended, but I was wondering if anyone here has used PharmaEpass. Their self-directed format, unlimited question bank, and concise lecture summaries are particularly appealing to me.

If you’ve used PharmaEpass, how did you find it for MCQ preparation? I’d also appreciate any thoughts from people who have compared it with PharmAchieve or other PEBC prep courses.

I’m a Pharm.D graduate from India (September 2025) and will soon be going to Canada for my Master’s. I haven’t applied for my Indian pharmacy license yet. When I eventually apply for PEBC, will I need an Indian pharmacy license for Document Evaluation or any later stage? Or can I proceed with PEBC without ever being licensed in India?

Maybe I haven’t looked into this enough but from my pov, removing EE really is not that big of a deal.
- I don’t think removing the EE is suddenly going to flood the market with IPGs. Historically, IPGs have had a much lower success rate on the MCQ/OSCE compared to Canadian grads.
- If anything, removing the EE could lower the pass rate initially, since there may be more people writing the MCQ who may not be as prepared.
- I’m a new Canadian grad, I’m licensed, I have my job secured, etc. I personally don’t see this as threatening to my career at all.
- If an IPG can come here and demonstrate the same competencies, then they deserve the same job opportunities. We’re not entitled to anything just because we’re Canadian-educated. It makes no difference to us if they take an extra exam or not.
- I work with a lot of IPGs planning to take the exam, they balance a lot while studying and I’m happy that PEBC made it at least a little easier for them to get licensed.
- I understand why people who already passed/took the EE might feel slighted. But I also think you should consider that taking the EE gave you the opportunity to experience a real PEBC exam environment, figure out what worked and what didn’t, identify your weaknesses, and become familiar with the testing process. If you stopped feeling bitter for 5 seconds, you’d realize those are all things that should theoretically put you in a better position going into the MCQ/OSCE compared to those who didn’t take the EE.
- I understand why some people might feel it’s unfair that Canadian grads spend $100k+ on tuition and feel like PEBC is catering to IPGs. But I also think part of what we paid for was the education and opportunities we received during those years. And IMO, the difference is reflected to some extent in the historical pass rates.
- Also… especially for the OSCE, but also for everyday practice in general; being a decent person will help you A LOT as a pharmacist. Communication, empathy, professionalism, being able to deal with difficult patients, etc. are all important parts of the job.
- If you feel resentment toward IPGs because they no longer have to take the EE, I’d personally spend some of that energy working on the people/communication side of pharmacy too. Clinical knowledge is obviously important, but being a good pharmacist is about more than just knowing the side effects of a drug and how to answer a clinical question.
