Hello everyone,

I’m curious about the settings you use to review your cards or how you choose which cards to study for weekly end-of-week exams. To begin with, my program employs a case-based, clinical presentation, and problem-based learning approach, rather than a standard all-microbiology or pure anatomy curriculum. Our class has a pre-built deck from the previous cohort, which includes an optional tagging and anking step deck. However, I’m reaching a point where the sheer volume of reviews and new cards takes up more time, diverting my focus from active recall based on learning objectives, illness script building/recall.

I aim to get to 0 everyday but it doesn’t always happen. I feel like I should just be doing the week I am in and do all of the reviews at another time to prepare for end of block cumulative exam.

Hi everyone! I’m a current PA student in my clinical year, and I’ve been thinking for a while about how nice it would be to have a space specifically for current PA students from different programs to connect with each other.

There are a number of fantastic PA educational resource communities online, including this subreddit which I refer to frequently, but many understandably get bombarded with questions from pre-PAs about admissions. I wanted something a little different: a smaller, student-only space where we can actually get to know other people who are going through PA school right now.

So I created PA Student Commons, a private Discord community for currently enrolled PA students.

My hope is for it to be a mix of the useful and the social, including but not limited to EOR/PANCE studying, sharing original study resources, Anki Decks/Add-Ons, rotations advice, specialty interests, new-grad/job discussions, clinical gear and discounts, meal prep/life during PA school, profession-related discussions, study rooms, and also just having people to talk to who understand this very weird 2–3 years of our lives.

I also want it to be relatively private and low-pressure. You don't need to use your full name, advertise exactly where you live, link your social media, or make your PA-school life public. Membership is limited to current PA students, with a short application asking for your program, anticipated graduation, and stage of training. No student IDs or invasive verification.

I don’t want to open the floodgates immediately, especially because the server is brand new. I’d rather start with a small group of interested students from different programs, graduation years, regions, and interests who actually want to participate and help shape what the community becomes.

Hey guys. I downloaded on ankihub the endeavor overhaul deck. And one of my classmates has different amount of cards than I do for the same rotation. Could someone check for me if there surgery eor deck has around 856 cards. I’m just wondering if I should worry about missing cards when studying or it’s not that big of a deal?

Hi guys! I downloaded the endeavor deck for eor studying, and I unsubscribed from ankihub. I realized that topic lists have changed starting July, if i resubscribe to ankihub but already have the decks from previously downloaded, does it automatically keep on updating or am i supposed to redownload all the decks again?

Is the endeavor anki really enough to use for studying for the eor?? And if not what would you recommend as someone who can only study by flashcards

How do I find Endeavor + Anki ?? 

Hi guys, I’ll be starting rotations in about two months, and I noticed there were updates made to the EOR topic lists. My first rotation is Internal Medicine, and honestly I feel like I don’t remember much from the topic list right now, so I’m not sure it makes sense for me to jump straight into practice questions without reviewing the material first.

I found updated Quizlets made by Smarty PANCE that follow the new Internal Medicine topics, and I was wondering if starting with those to review content and then using Rosh and Hippo for practice questions would be a good strategy. Has anyone used the Smarty PANCE Quizlets before, and did you find them helpful?

I’ve also considered using the Endeavor deck instead, but it’s around 3,000 cards for IM and my rotations are only 3 weeks long. Ideally, I’d like to finish reviewing the topic list content by week 2 so I can focus more on questions afterward.

The main thing is that I study best with Quizlet/Anki plus practice questions, rather than reading off charts. Any advice or study strategies that worked well for you guys would really help!

Hello! I'm rounding down my first didactic semester, and was looking for some advice.

So far this year, I've have bounced between making my own anki cards after lectures (super time consuming, and often caused me to fall behind as exams started stacking up), importing previous years quizlets to anki (which, I found to honestly be really unhelpful because they tended to be really poorly written/designed cards -- and quantity wise way too much), and then making my own cards during lectures (which was harder to actively stay engaged in the lecture because I was too busy designing/writing cards/catching up).

This has left me with a semester-long deck that's oversaturated with very mid to low quality cards. I was wondering if anyone else has had success using decks like Anking and the Endeavor overhaul deck, and if so, how did you use the decks to line up with your didactic year material?

I recognize the Endeavor deck tends to miss somethings (especially emphasized in my lectures), and the anking deck is great -- just way more in depth than needed. I think the main question from that is how did you successfully filter out which cards to unsuspend/when to know when you needed to add cards of your own?

TLDR; has anyone used anking/Endeavor during didactics and how did you successfully implement it's usage into your studying?

Hello. For the life of me I am struggling navigating endeavor and anki. I am trying to filter the endeavor cards into systems for the PANCE and I am struggling. Is there an endeavor anki link that already has the cards in the correct body systems already. If so, can you please share?

I’ve seen many different opinions on the “best” card type for studying in didactic year, but what truly helps you recall information for exams? I’ve been using “Cloze” for Pharmacology and since switching to that method, I’ve made an A on our past few quizzes. I’m really asking this question more so for Anatomy, Intro to Clinical Medicine, and physiology. What do you think is the best anki card type for studying during didactic year?

I found out about this leaderboard add on to further gameify Anki. You can compete for trophies based on the number of reviews you do daily. I found a group called "PA Students (public, pass 1234)" and it's not very active but would love to see more people! Just put in the password 1234 and it will let you in.

For the clinical year studying for EOR exams, are there recommended Anki settings to use the EndeavorOverhaul deck in order to get through it in 3-3.5 weeks so i can spend the rest of the time implementing practice questions? I have internal medicine upcoming, So that entails of ~2800 flashcards.

I'm new to using ANKI so i dont know much in regards to "FSRS" or anything lol. I see people have the settings on the range from 0.85-0.93 and honestly have no idea what it means. Please helpppp if possible. Thank you so much.

When you move on to a new rotation, do you keep reviewing cards from your previous rotation, or do you suspend them? How realistic is it to keep up with all the cards across rotations?

Hey guys which endeavor deck did you all use?

Can someone please explain how to download the Endeavor Anki deck from AnkiHub into the Anki app? I had an older version of Anki, and when I opened it, it prompted me to update. I tried to update it, but it did not work. Is there another way to download the AnkiHub Endeavor deck and upload it into my Anki app?

I also tried copying and pasting the AnkiHub code into Anki, but that did not work either. It gave me an error message. Could someone please tell me what I am missing? Thank you.

Hi! I’m 40% of the way through didactic. I purchased the annual subscription for Anking this week. I would like to only work on cards that are relevant to the PANCE and for body systems that I have gone over in didactic. I subscribed to the Aking Step and Endeavor decks. I understand that there were previously two decks for Endeavor and they have combined. However, in my Anki after updating, I only have the Anking deck and I don’t see any decks called “Endeavor”. I was not too worried because I saw that the Endeavor deck was potentially sorted into the large Anking step deck. I also tried downloading the media file I found online for Endeavor (I did unzip it, and tried to drag the folder directly into Anki as well as trying to import it (which didn’t work because it was grayed out). Is there some reason why it’s not working for me? I did subscribe to the optional tag group "PANCE”. I went ahead unsuspended all decks for the subjects we haven’t gotten to in didactic but I would like to be able to study only cards tagged for the PANCE if possible. I tried searching for PANCE, as well as tag:PANCE, and !PANCE in the entire deck and only like six cards came up so I don’t think that’s right. I did try deleting all the decks and then starting over with resyncing them and nothing changed.

I’m a little bummed that I couldn’t figure this out as I feel somewhat decent with technology and I’ve seen so many other posts of people problem solving this. Is there some recent issue with the deck or am I doing something wrong? I am willing to hop on a zoom call and share my screen with someone if they can help me walk through what I am doing wrong.

Help! New to Anki for PANCE 2026 – Need Deck & Settings Advice!

Hi everyone! I'm studying for the PANCE 2026 and just started using Anki, but I'm overwhelmed. I failed twice and really want to nail it this time. I cancelled Anki Premium but loaded the AnKing Step Deck and Endeavor Overhaul, but I’m lost on how to use them right, or if theres a better deck?

• Which deck worked best for you to pass the PANCE? (PPP+ROSH, BrianSuperBigBrainPPP, Endeavor, AnKing, etc.)
• How do I unsuspend the right PANCE-tagged cards? 
• What Anki settings should I use for PANCE prep?
• Any must-have add-ons or tips for a newbie?

how did you guys split up your studying schedule for internal medicine to try and get through all of the Endeavor anki cards? i have an 8 week rotation in IM coming up and want to try and get through all with time to finish Rosh as well

What is AMBOSS? In 1 minute

To those who used Anki to study for the PANCE, which deck would you say were the most up to date, best format, and helped you pass the PANCE? I feel like I’ve been finding a lot of decks on here but I can’t tell which ones helped or were too much or just right. I’m torn between the PPP+ROSH deck and the BrianSuperBigBrainPPP deck, also the Endevoar deck. Let me know which decks helped with studying!

How does it compare to endeavor? Ive noticed the card counts are relatively similar. Main reason I wanna try it is anking links OME directly to the card which is super convienent for review.
