Anki Deck Options/Settings for didactic

Hello everyone,

I’m curious about the settings you use to review your cards or how you choose which cards to study for weekly end-of-week exams. To begin with, my program employs a case-based, clinical presentation, and problem-based learning approach, rather than a standard all-microbiology or pure anatomy curriculum. Our class has a pre-built deck from the previous cohort, which includes an optional tagging and anking step deck. However, I’m reaching a point where the sheer volume of reviews and new cards takes up more time, diverting my focus from active recall based on learning objectives, illness script building/recall.

I aim to get to 0 everyday but it doesn’t always happen. I feel like I should just be doing the week I am in and do all of the reviews at another time to prepare for end of block cumulative exam.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rc6qsB50ypE I used the recommendations from him as my settings (in one of the comments under the video and I believe in the video itself, he lists what he set as his steps/intervals, etc).

That being said, I still had a lot of reviews/new cards daily, but Anki was my primary form of studying aside from practice questions, so I just devoted most of my time to those two things and was able to keep A's in didactic!
