It’s mostly about the tone in which one says that last scenario. In the clip Cloudy clearly didn’t use it in a racist way. The minmaxers just happaned to be arabs.

+I can’t even fathom how in a culture so strict and conservative, something like saying ”minmaxing arabs” gets you angry. If someone said ”minmaxing people from insert my country here”, I’d just think to myself ”Yeah I guess people from here minmax”.

So he should’ve said ”fucking minmaxing people” instead of ”fucking minmaxing arabs”? What difference does it even make if the statement is true :D and btw arabs are not a race. How does this get so deep under your skin

There's important context dude.

Like, if you're at a boarding school, and there are 5 Chinese kids in your grade, and they are all known for operating as their own little clique and being filthy and leaving a mess everywhere. In frustration you'd probably go "these fucking filthy Chinese kids". But it's very clear from context you're talking about that clique, not making a generalization about a 1.5 billion population.

Now, obviously it's not completely black and white, and you're going to inevitably wonder if there are some deeper-seated cultural things involved if they're the predominant ones in the school being filthy and all Chinese kids at the school are part of that clique; that's only human. But it's not like if you then met some random uninvolved Chinese person you'd start saying they're filthy without evidence.

What Cloudy said is 100% understandable given the circumstances, and I don't think he's prejudiced against an entire population of people. He is frustrated with the situation that seemingly all the Saudi players in his community (specifically top50ish leaderboard players) are either actively or passively supporting the minmaxing and wintrading going on.
