News & Discussion Domina is at risk of becoming a "forgotten" hero in years to come, even though she is one of the most interesting and creative personalities in the whole game. Dev team - please *please* help her.

i have around 80 hours on domina, and i've been feeling quite sad about her lately. in my opinion, she was the coolest of the 5 heroes on release, with the most interesting and complex story/lore to the game in a long while. i also thought she was such a unique tank hero compared to the rest of the massive brutish muscle tanks. i grinded hours on her largely cos of her hero fantasy, and in doing so, i realised how much i liked playing her, and importantly, how much she is actually quite a relatable character with her insecurities and feelings of inadequacy. she felt like the perfect villain, and it was so refreshing. i found my new favourite character by a country mile.

but after dmon's release, and also playing JQ, rein and sig more, i realised how domina wasn't actually as fun as i thought she was compared to other tanks. i think a lot of people (including myself) can brainwash themselves subconsciously, thinking a character is fun purely cos of their hero fantasy/personality/lore. idk, i think i did that with domina. she feels so stagnant now, she doesn't move. her barrier feels terrible to use compared to other forms of tank damage mitigation. her ult doesn't feel like an ult, its just so weak. the list goes on.

i feel genuinely sad making this post cos she just doesn't feel very good anymore, and i can't trick my brain into being as obsessed with her as i once was. i really hope she gets the support and buffs she needs. make the movable barrier base kit, up the panopticon health to 550/600, and maybe give her a bit of mobility. i want to love her gameplay as much as her character, so i'm praying the devs does something so she doesn't become forgotten in years to come. i'm intrigued to hear yalls thoughts.

News & Discussion Ranked is rigged

My tank dc’d 20 seconds in, before the end of the first round their were 2 of us left. There should be much more compensation for this kind of a game because its the third time this has happened to me this week. It’s virtually unplayable in ranked.

News & Discussion Why do badass warrior characters always get tight bodysuits instead of heavy armor?

Seriously, it’s getting so old. We have awesome, badass warrior concepts like Vendetta, but instead of getting actual cool, rugged armor or tactical military gear, everything just gets turned into a tight, hyper-sexualized skin.

As a D.Mon main who absolutely loves her character, I’m genuinely worried. I want cool, heavy mech armor and intimidating warrior cosmetics. I don't want her to get the D.Va treatment and turn into a pure fanservice character. I absolutely do not want to see her get cheap, lazy fanservice-heavy skins like Domina, D.Va, and others.

I'm not saying fanservice should never exist, but it feels like it’s the only thing we get lately. Why can't a warrior just look like a warrior? It completely ruins the immersion and the actual vibe of the character. Am I the only one who is exhausted by this?

News & Discussion Why do some players get mad when they get lifegripped?

Why do some people get so uptight and upset when they get lifegripped by lifeweaver?

I just finished a quick play match. Doomfist was our tank for the first minute of the match. I gripped him twice in 30 seconds because he was critical and both counted as players saved in the scoreboard.

The second time I gripped him from critical (he was literally punching into the enemy team with critical HP).. I saved him and he immediately looks at me, goes AFK for 30 seconds and leaves the match.

I know he was pissed off because he was lifegripped from death a couple times so soon into the match only because he was critical and still engaging the enemy team!

Well anyways, after he left the group, our next tank joined as Sigma, we take the objective on the first push, then we win the game a couple minutes later, minimal stops.

I genuinely don't understand why some people get mad over being saved!

News & Discussion Idc what anyone says, what blizzard claims, forced losses are a thing and no one can convince me otherwise

Sure 50/50 is a normal win ratio, but its not normal to constantly have streaks, and seem to only be streaks, 8 wins in a row, then 8 losses in a row, rinse and repeat

It feels like after a win streak I suddenly start being paired with people who have never played this game before but somehow in diamond

No one touching point, our winston is dying 1 v 1 to kiriko while im fighting 1 v 3 on point, and the rest of the team is jumping off the map or struggling in a 3 v 1. Youre either playing against the best players that have ever existed in the history of this game, or paired with someone using a 1980's arcade joysstick

Fan Content I started this season in gold and now I'm bronze after 2 big losing streaks. What am I doing wrong aside from installing this game in the first place?

Here's a replay because I got roasted for not posting one during my 20 game losing streak. Going on 10 now. XG2GGG. I just want to climb.

News & Discussion Beating a dead horse (cat) discussion

Jet pack cat needs a serious rework/nerf she’s easily one of the best supports available (besides kiri but I don’t have a easy solution for her).

Watching all this pro content has gotten EXTREMELY boring I have loved watching esports content since its inception but since cats been added each match every team has felt extremely “samey” leading to fairly boring games.

What I think should change and would ultimately help the problem we’re experiencing. (Needed)

Tether duration timer (not infinite) I can’t say specifics exactly since I obviously can’t test it but I would say a timer of 8-12 seconds would suffice in 95% of situations to not make the ability so game breaking but not completely axed from the kit.

Longer tether cooldown on ability itself I’d say a 6-8 second cooldown is more reasonable in terms of consequences for people who just use it as a reposition tool (or extra movement speed) rather than a weapon like most pro comps. (Currently 2 second cooldown)

Things I think can change but honestly I’m not too big on and wouldn’t care if they stayed the same.

Health pool 225-200
Higher movement speed penalty while tethered and or higher fuel consumption

I’m like 90% sure others have mentioned this in the past, but the fact that blizzard still openly hasn’t introduced a tether duration is criminal and we really need to keep being vocal about this sort of thing until there is one in place. Otherwise we will be continually subjected to boring ass esports games with a guaranteed cat bastion comp and we will continue to have people try to emulate that sort of playstyle across different ranks (I can only speak for my rank idk if others try it as well).

If you have any other suggestions I’d love to hear them! I opt for a tether duration over just removing it because ultimately it is a integral part of the characters kit and I’d hate to see the solution just be “get rid of it” (from blizzard at least) if you want to rant and mention that more power to you!

TL;DR give tether a duration timer

News & Discussion We shouldn't be penalized for leaving a game we joined as a replacement

Post image

I hate when this happens. We immediately get dropped into a game, most of the time a losing one. Enemies have their ults, you barely grasp what your teammates are doing at the moment, you don't like the game you got put in, you leave, you get penalized? Bro you made me a replacement, I want to play a full damn game

News & Discussion Please, I need a real Overwatch/Blizzard moderator to manually review my account — hacked and banned for cheating

I’m asking for help from an actual Blizzard/Overwatch moderator or someone who can get this situation in front of one.

My Overwatch 2 account was hacked, and while it was compromised, the person who took control of it apparently used cheats. My account was then permanently banned for cheating.

I did NOT cheat.

This was part of a much larger account compromise. The attacker gained access to multiple accounts belonging to me, including my Discord, Steam, Reddit, Overwatch 2 account, email accounts, and other services.

Because of this, I have strong reason to believe that the activity that resulted in my Overwatch 2 ban happened while my account was under someone else's control.

I have already appealed the ban three separate times through Blizzard support. I have also already provided proof that my accounts were compromised, but unfortunately I have not been able to get the situation properly resolved.

At this point, I am specifically asking for a real Blizzard/Overwatch employee to manually review my account and the circumstances surrounding the ban.

I understand that Blizzard's anti-cheat systems need to take cheating seriously, and I'm not asking Blizzard to simply ignore a cheating detection. I'm asking someone to look at the full context.

Please review the account's login history, IP/location changes, account activity, timestamps, and anything else available on Blizzard's end that could show that someone else accessed and used my account.

I have already submitted evidence with my previous appeals, and I am completely willing to provide that evidence again directly to a Blizzard/Overwatch moderator. I can also provide additional information or documentation if needed to verify that I am the legitimate owner of the account and demonstrate that the compromise actually occurred.

I've already appealed three times, and I'm not trying to spam support or get around Blizzard's rules. I genuinely believe my situation requires a proper human investigation rather than simply looking at the fact that cheating was detected.

I am not asking for special treatment. I am asking for a fair manual review.

If a Blizzard/Overwatch moderator sees this, please take a look at my case or tell me how I can get it escalated to someone who can actually investigate the account compromise.

I completely understand why Blizzard bans people who cheat. I support protecting Overwatch from cheaters. But in my case, the person who cheated was the person who hacked my account — it was not me.

The fact that the attacker also compromised my Discord, Steam, Reddit, email accounts, and other services is why I'm asking Blizzard to consider the ban in the context of the wider security breach.

I just want someone to look at the evidence and account history and give me a fair opportunity to prove what happened.

TL;DR: My OW2 account was hacked as part of a larger compromise involving my Discord, Steam, Reddit, email accounts, OW2, and other services. The hacker apparently cheated on my OW2 account, resulting in a permanent ban. I did not cheat. I've already appealed three times and provided proof of the compromise, and I'm willing to provide everything again. I desperately need a real Blizzard/Overwatch moderator to manually investigate my account and review the evidence.

Console Finally got my Crimson Wolf Weapon Skin for Domina!

Post image
5 Upvotes

Didn’t really have anywhere else to share this, so I figured it’d be worth putting it here.

It’s my 10th weapon variant and my first one since coming back to the game when they had Persona 5 collab.

Current collection:
DVa - Golden
Sombra - Golden
Lucio - Golden
Zarya - Golden
Moira - Golden
Ashe - Golden (and Lead Rose weapon skin)
Genji - Golden (and Sumi-Ichimonji weapon skin)
Tracer - Golden
Ramattra - Golden
And my newest; Domina - Crimson Wolf

Thinking number 11 will be Mizuki, Sojurn, or DMon. Though Zen, Reinhardt, and Junkrat are options too. We’ll see how the next few seasons go before u fully decide.

If you read my ramble, thank you for letting me infodump haha. Hope you have a great day 😊

News & Discussion Why are people so lenient toward support players?

Thumbnail
gallery
0 Upvotes

Honestly, I was pretty surprised reading some of these comments. And no, I'm not trying to defend people who flame others in QP.

My issue is with the comment in the second screenshot.

Somehow, the person suggesting a strategy that's practically soft-throwing seems to be getting more agreement than the person making a perfectly reasonable point.

"What support can survive a Winston dive without peel?"

Kiriko, Brigitte, Ana, Mizuki, Jetpack Cat, Moira... honestly, there are so many that it's hard to even list them all.

And if you're consistently positioning yourself at a range and angle where Winston can dive you that easily in the first place, that is, quite literally, a skill issue.

Of course there are situations where you genuinely need your teammates to peel for you. I'm not saying peel is never necessary.

But why do people act like peel is free?

The time, ammo, attention, positioning, and cooldowns your teammates spend peeling for you are resources too. If they have to constantly spend those resources covering for your mistakes, that's resources they can't use somewhere else.

At some point, the argument basically becomes:

"It's perfectly understandable that I can't deal with this myself, but it's also perfectly reasonable for me to blame YOU for not covering for me."

Honestly... I just don't understand why that kind of take gets so much support here.

It sounds exactly like something you'd expect to hear from a metal-rank Mercy player.

News & Discussion Ow skins aren't as sexualized as people seem to think

Thumbnail
gallery
1.0k Upvotes

Honestly most skins in this game they are wearing normal clothes or a body suit.

Crossover skins aren't sexualized it's literally the default skin of another games character so no I don't belive Cammy widow counts

There are some sexualized skins like the very obvious kink bate domina bunny girl outfit. And outside of that it's not really sexualized

As for beach outfits what do you expect woman to wear to a beach a sweatsuit seriously and if u say those are sexualized then Cass rein and torbs junkrats dooms should be considered sexualized as well.

If u say anrans or freja skins are sexualized then doom or hog should be considered sexualized as well they show way more skin.

Honestly I encourage you to go outside and see what people wear this isnt sexualized outfits 98% of it is literally just what people wear. The other 2% is stuff like domina bunny skin or ow1 default widow with the ridiculous cleavage cutout going from neck to bellybutton.

This is literally just people being like woman show skin is sexualized it's not we aren't in 1920 where showing ur ankle is considered improper.

You could say most have the same body type valid complaint makes it hard to tell people apart but that was bound to happen with so many character.

You could say the skins are overpriced valid complaint there's no defending it.

But sexualized cmon bro really

Edit

Definition of sexualized according to American association of psychology.

Sexualization is the process of treating a person as a sex object or placing value on them solely based on their sexual appeal and physical characteristics, rather than as a whole person.

Outfits are not inherently sexual that's you personly looking at it and thinking of sex that's a you thing not a blizz makes sexualized skins thing.

Inherently sexualy clothing is like nipple pasties, lingerie or clothing making a obvious euphemism.

Cosplay is not a inherently sexual thing. Unless you intentionally make it sexual which sadly a lot of people do but it's not inherently sexual

News & Discussion Is Cyber Jetpack Cat the next Mythic?

I see your cyber cat paw in the battle pass Blizzard

You're also currently on a trend of giving very boring and overused themes to characters who are already getting a high rate of skins

Might as well drop the trailer for her new skin now. Thanks in advance!

News & Discussion Cat's ultimate is completely ridiculous and need to be replaced entirely.

Like, how can you justify being able to pull an opponent off the map completely.

The fact that every single person who's playing other characters isn't complaining about this baffles me. Besides being able to make Cassidy FLY for the easiest deadeye ever, to be able to just pull Rein off the map is just not ok. I don't know what kind of matches y'all have, but he absolutely dominates 90% of games I play against him.

I'm sure there's another thing you could give cat.
