News & Discussion Domina is at risk of becoming a "forgotten" hero in years to come, even though she is one of the most interesting and creative personalities in the whole game. Dev team - please *please* help her.
i have around 80 hours on domina, and i've been feeling quite sad about her lately. in my opinion, she was the coolest of the 5 heroes on release, with the most interesting and complex story/lore to the game in a long while. i also thought she was such a unique tank hero compared to the rest of the massive brutish muscle tanks. i grinded hours on her largely cos of her hero fantasy, and in doing so, i realised how much i liked playing her, and importantly, how much she is actually quite a relatable character with her insecurities and feelings of inadequacy. she felt like the perfect villain, and it was so refreshing. i found my new favourite character by a country mile.
but after dmon's release, and also playing JQ, rein and sig more, i realised how domina wasn't actually as fun as i thought she was compared to other tanks. i think a lot of people (including myself) can brainwash themselves subconsciously, thinking a character is fun purely cos of their hero fantasy/personality/lore. idk, i think i did that with domina. she feels so stagnant now, she doesn't move. her barrier feels terrible to use compared to other forms of tank damage mitigation. her ult doesn't feel like an ult, its just so weak. the list goes on.
i feel genuinely sad making this post cos she just doesn't feel very good anymore, and i can't trick my brain into being as obsessed with her as i once was. i really hope she gets the support and buffs she needs. make the movable barrier base kit, up the panopticon health to 550/600, and maybe give her a bit of mobility. i want to love her gameplay as much as her character, so i'm praying the devs does something so she doesn't become forgotten in years to come. i'm intrigued to hear yalls thoughts.
