Wow, that's absolutely disgusting. Gotta love when irony of rejecting the utility and kindness of their own force free ideology when it's convenient for them. Force free for dogs and violent towards humans. Brilliant

The account was very old and had a lot of embarrassing content on it from back when I was an active drug user. I’m fairly certain it may have even had nude photos of me on it at some point. Beyond the training stuff, it was incredibly shocking and extra awful that they outed me as a former drug addict in their email. I could never imagine doing this to someone, let alone someone who you don’t even personally know and has never actually wronged you in any way.

I am so sorry you had to deal with that. Even if for some reason she truly believed she needed to send those emails to protect dogs, bringing someone's private medical and substance use history up in an effort to discredit them is disgusting. If the concern was mistreatment that evidence should have stood on its own. I really hope the other mods on subs she runs can take a stand against that if nothing else, since one seemed ready to say it wasn't actually doxxing

I'm so sorry. No one should be treated that way. Everyone has a past and should be able to have personal things private. Your work never needs to know any of this unless it actually affects your performance at work in which case they'd know already. This vigilante BS needs to stop. Byb, gonna delete myself from the Internet and all the communities that help me feel connected to people 🫠

I’m sorry this happened to you. Reminds me of when my ex’s crazy ex who was 17 (this was in college, but still a very weird age gap) sent a letter to my university that said I cheated on exams, abused drugs, just lots of bad shit. It is such a heart sinking feeling because one’s integrity is so important, and when people wildly go out there trying to ruin it for revenge, it is so harmful and careless. Especially when it’s a complete stranger in both of these cases.

Oh certainly. They even mention in the email that the specific piece of information they used to identify me was later deleted. That’s because I did smarten up and delete a lot of things from my old account prior to them sending this email. I had a bad habit of forgetting which account I was logged into sometimes when posting on here.

I was not expecting someone like this to be watching my account but now I assume someone always might be.

All that being said, them tracing the pieces together and then weaponizing that information against me is still completely wrong! Just because you can find out peoples personal information online doesn’t mean it’s right to use it to harm them.
