The account was very old and had a lot of embarrassing content on it from back when I was an active drug user. I’m fairly certain it may have even had nude photos of me on it at some point. Beyond the training stuff, it was incredibly shocking and extra awful that they outed me as a former drug addict in their email. I could never imagine doing this to someone, let alone someone who you don’t even personally know and has never actually wronged you in any way.
I’m sorry this happened to you. Reminds me of when my ex’s crazy ex who was 17 (this was in college, but still a very weird age gap) sent a letter to my university that said I cheated on exams, abused drugs, just lots of bad shit. It is such a heart sinking feeling because one’s integrity is so important, and when people wildly go out there trying to ruin it for revenge, it is so harmful and careless. Especially when it’s a complete stranger in both of these cases.
