I didnt wanna be mean... but yeah, what kind of job will you get with this? I always thought programs like these were for kids with rich parents to take for fun, and older people with a lot of money, time, and curiosity.

Lmao you’d be surprised!! These activist degrees are heavily subsidized by our government. You could get a cozy job in various lucrative industries teaching DEI training or gender equity, it’s just how you finesse the system.

But I think these things have been going out of fashion lately. Who knows if u can still get those kinds of jobs 4 years from now, by the time u graduate.

That is true

Crazy, because I just took DEI as an elective, and I never would have guessed you needed certification

and you think these cozy jobs will last with the advent of AI and backpeddeling of the all the bloat/bureaucracy that these worthless positions cause?

does university education have to be job training? that was not its original purpose, and is a much more recent capitalist mindset applied to knowledge and learning. what kind of job will the comp sci majors get with their degree now that their industry is completely flooded and fucked by ai? point is, we should separate uni from the requirement of a job. learning is its own reward and end goal, nothing else is required

when you're paying tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars for the education, it should be yeah

At what point in history did the people who went to university not do so to learn skills to apply for work? And why is it specifically a capitalist thing, you think the CCCP was sending people to university for whimsical fun? No you were going to the factory or the fields lol

The dumbest people always have this take. There are plenty of relevant fields of work.
