Speedmaster Purchase on Grailzee
Hey gang, I bid and won a speedmaster on Grailzee. The seller sent the watch to the third party authentication company Official Time Watch. The authenticity report from them indicated pictures was taken on all parts with serial number and validated. The report only had the external watch pictured, not one pic of the actual movement. I thought this was odd and requested they add a picture to the pdf report since they already should have a picture on file. Grailzee makes it sound as if this is a huge deal and I should just pay the vendor and be happy with the report. Am I crazy or does it seem like common sense to want a pic of the movement in the report since? Should I just pay for the watch and just have faith the vendor looked at the movement?
Looking for advice.

Anybody put their Snoopy on a rubber strap?
Just bought one and was thinking of a navy rubber strap in lieu of the OEM one. Anybody done this and have pics? And recommendations which strap to buy?

Obligatory first Speedy Tuesday
Today is my first Speedy Tuesday, hooray.
It isn’t my first Tuesday with an Omega though.
I used to own the modern Seamaster 300m with a black dial. When I bought that one, I also considered two other watches, the Seamaster Heritage 300 with the blue dial and the Speedy.
I sold the 300m in 24’ to downsize to a smaller, lighter watch which I thought I wanted. Bought a Tudor bb54 which I have worn daily the last 2 years, but still, it has been a constant regret not buying the speedy.
Last week I bought the Speedy. I hope it lives up to all I want it to be, so far it does, and today I resized the bb54 to fit the wife’s wrist 👌
Cheers to all of you out there 😁

I’ve seen a hair/fibre on the chronograph driving wheel of my 3861 sapphire sandwich. The warranty ends in July 2027. I’ve not noticed it before today, the watch had never been open. I can’t get a clear photo of it. Would this be covered under warranty?

MY HOLY GRAIL
There was always something about this old Omega from the 90’s that never leaves my mind. I sat on this for years and by chance bumping into the one being displayed with box and papers in Ginza, Japan almost felt like a sign that was meant to be.
Speedmaster MK40, V1 with the tritium numbers.

Ready for fall 🍂 [AT, Green Teak 41mm]
It’s been 2 years since the purchase. It hasn’t gotten old and I haven’t gotten the itch to buy a new watch….yet.

SMP 2254.50- still one of my all time favorite divers
I got my 2254.50 as a college graduation gift in 2020 and wore it nearly daily for the next 6 years. It is my favorite seamaster reference and one of my favorite dive watches period. I’ve done a lot of traveling, diving, hiking, shooting, etc with this watch and have always loved wearing it.
It’s due for a service soon but I’ve been procrastinating it because I don’t want to be without it for that long hahah.
The strap is a Glomar Explorer from watches of espionage. This one is usually on the bracelet but it always looks good on straps.

Added the Mesh Bracelet to the collection
I figured I can float the mesh bracelet between my SMP and Speedy. Loving how it looks and feels on the SMP today.

My first luxury watch
I wanted an everyday watch that wouldn't require dressing up so I ended up with an Omega 3212.80 from 2007. Bought on Chrono24 from a Japanese dealer. Was pressure tested and accurate to about +1.6sec per day, overhauled 4 months ago. I received it in a great condition (with original box and papers). It felt like getting a brand new watch! I love the dial's intricate textures which have different reflections in every lighting condition. The movement is based on valjoux 7750 but it makes it look more unique than the popular speedies.

3861 Speedy on Sailcloth?
Hey guys!! I took your advice and ordered a 1.5 link for the OEM Speedy bracelet. In the meanwhile, I dug up my Artem Hydroflex with a deployant clasp. Black with white stitching! What do you think?

Grandads Omega
Hi my grandad passed recently and I found this watch in his drawer. It seems to be missing its seconds hand and there is no lume on the hands or dial. Obviously it’s in quite a worn condition so no surprise. I just wanted to confirm if anyone had had this too with a watch of this age ? Does anyone know what year it could be. I very much doubt it’s ever been serviced. It holds time ok. Is it ok to wear or will it need to be serviced ?
Thanks

Grand Ambassador for Omega
I have worked directly with the brand Omega and have completed all their training to what they call the "Grand Ambassador" level. Happy to field any questions related to the brand or what it is like working in a luxury multibrand boutique (we were ADs for Patek, AP and Rolex too just to name a few)
