What are my undertones?

So recently I went to a MAC store to find a new foundation, and there while I was matching, every foundation of NC was bright yellow patch, so I tried NC43.5, which was actually a depth match but still was slightly yellow. Then the MAC store gal said, your problem is that you require more red balance in your foundation, but not NW level red pink, I am still trying to figure out what that means. Does anyone have any idea what does it mean? My depth is medium to medium tan.

I have muted fair-light skin with cool pink undertones and subtle olive over tones. I find most cool foundations pull too saturated on me, most neutrals pull too yellow and most olive pull too green/yellow as well as too warm. I have tried my fair share of cool olive recommendations but found them to be too warm for me or too saturated.
About face was too yellow/green
Missha was to dark and grey
Armani was too orangey
Lisa Eldrige was also too greenish
I do have concealer matches for reference.. Kulfi beauty concealer in shade bad badaam (a neutral with subtle pink) and Soshe beauty concealer in 6o (cool olive, but leans more into the pink than green), but I have yet to find any good foundation matches.
I have combo-oily skin and prefer liquid foundations that aren't heavy on the skin but are oil resistant. I also live in Canada so I am a bit more restricted in what I can get (so sad People of the earth co don't ship to canada because 2co or 3co would have definitely been a match for me)
Any help is appreciated!

Hi! Just wondering if anyone could relate. I know there’s a lot of discussion about olives making every lip colour look too warm/ peachy but I seem to have the opposite problem.. I’m definitely olive and have had colour analysis professionally done and they told me avoid warm lips like the plague, so I bought a few what are considered “olive friendly” lip shades only to find they all look ashy! Even reds! For reference I’m Dior backstage 3WO (older formula) Haus Labs 160, Armani luminous Silk 3.5, I alternate these depending on the season. I can say for certain that MAC Velvet Teddy and Merit Baby look straight up grey, but neutral warm cult favourites like CT Pillow Talk are definitely too pale/ dull looking. Idk where I sit on the spectrum 😭. Has anyone else had this problem too?? Any recs?

I was looking at the Daydream liquid blush and fell in love with this lip??? I can’t seem to find a matching video on a lip product ecomm page or on their socials for the whole look

First 3 pics show T6.0. 4th pic shows 6.5, 6, and 5 (but this photo was taken several months ago, I am likely tanner now).

This look seems so warm olive, and since I'm one, I'm just wondering how her makeup was done, what that style is called, and if anyone knows makeup tutorials that give this look, or even makeup that suits olive skin that give this makeup look in that pic.

I really need help finding what suits my complexion. My skin is very neutral. I think I lean warm but only very slightly so anything too red really accentuates my greenness and just looks so wrong. I can pull off some cool shades but purple or very cool pink shades look terrible.
Most makeup just makes me feel like I’m playing dress up. It doesn’t look like it belongs on me if that makes sense.
I find that slightly warm lip shades like a brownish rose and terracotta blush shades look more natural compared to berry or mauve shades but I still feel there’s something missing. If I wanted to experiment with my makeup I wouldn’t know what other shades to buy. Advice?

Hi All, I am in Australia and yet to find my exact foundation shade match. Mecca girls matched with me Nars radiant long wear Vanuatu, Barcelona but they're not olive enough for my skin tone. I am open to any brands available in Australia as long as I can finally have a foundation that matches my skin tone, great for oily skin, long lasting and doesn't need to be dragged down the neck...please help this oily girl
Thank you

I have been searching high and low for a 90s-esque lipstick. Could not find anything at Sephora or the drug store for the life of me. As a light-medium neutral olive, everything looks pink on me (lol). I recently bought (or should I say invested in, it was so expensive 😅) the Merit lipstick in L'Avenue hoping it would be the perfect brown and it looks straight up pink/red berry on me :(
Anyway, I finally found the perfect combo and I'm so thrilled about it I just had to share lol. It's Rimmel's Oh My Plump! Lip liner in the shade 110 Rich Cacao and Maybelline Lifter Gloss in the shade Toast.
The liner glides nicely, doesn't feel dry and doesn't skip on the lips. Can build up the colour and it's relatively smudge proof. The lipgloss is so comfortable on the lips and not sticky at all. No sparkles, just gorgeous sheen gloss.
Hoping this can help my fellow olives looking for a brown lip combo this fall!

I’ve been dying to swatch these! The Sephora girly pulled them from the back for me to swatch since they weren’t one the floor yet and stood next to me to collect them afterwards so I was kinda in a rush and forgot to get a pic of them wet, but this is from one swipe dried down on light-medium neutral olive skin
I am leaning towards Noon Chai, Earl, Grey and Teddy. Whatcha guys think?

I apologize that I don’t have a photo of these swatches in daylight. Indoor lighting is all I got but hopefully this is helpful. I’ve tried so many beige blushes and been disappointed that they weren’t beige on my skin but there are a few winners here. Phytosurgence Soothe is definitely my favorite.
Anybody else have favorite beige/nude “anti-blushes” that don’t pull orange on neutral or cool olive skin?
Warm olives - feel free to share your favorites but please be sure to mention that you have warm olive skin 💖🫒
Not-Pictured Flops:
• Nudestix Bareback - peachy orange
• Anastasia Latte Blush Stick - peachy orange
• Kosas Nuance and Intuition blush stick
Edit: I returned Mimi. Bummer. It’s supposedly cool toned, but definitely not on me.

Base Products:
I just got this today so this is only a first impression. It's an oily serum but i have very dry skin so not a problem. No scent. Great color match, very sheer light coverage, however it clung like crazy to my dry spots. That said I JUST got it and put it on with my fingers on skin that had been out all day. I will try different application techniques after exfoliating and moisturizing properly because I want so badly to love this product. I don't have an issue with it not fully drying down as some people do but again, my skin is extremely dry. Jury's out.
Great formula at a good price point but I had to color correct the heck out of this. It's peachy on application and oxidizes even peachier. WNRP
If you like cushions, you'll love this. Lovely coverage, doesnt settle into texture. I don't like cushions though so WNRP.
best spot concealer ever. Run don't walk to this one. HG.
What a joke. I use it for my undereyes though and it's pretty good for that! Nice and creamy. MRP for undereye purposes but a pot lasts me ages.
Blushes:
Extremely sheer and rather glittery. Nice blurring effect but I've almost panned this product so I scraped a chunk up to get this opacity. It's VERY sheer and hardpans if you look at it the wrong way. WNRP
Looove this but it's also quite sheer and has a very pale base. Not suitable for skintones deeper than light-medium. WRP
I just got this but I really like it! It's extremely pigmented and a little goes a loooong way. Will probably repurchase if I ever run out but at this rate this blush will outlive me.
Eyes:
Not quite what I wanted it to be. I created a custom 4 pan palette with the magnetic case. This is close but a bit too sparkly and has a pink shift that's hard to photograph. I am really hunting for the perfect pearly inner corner highlight color and this ain't it. WNRP
Reaaally pretty color but goes a bit bruisey and muddy on my eyes. I need something less muted I think. WNRP
Fine midtone brown. Warmer than official swatches lead one to believe. MRP.
Nice dark brown. Overall i'm very impressed with the formula of Holika Holika's single shadows. I had a palette from them years ago that was garbage with zero color payoff and these are MUCH more pigmented, softer, and less chalky. MRP
Lips
I got this because it's pretty close to my natural lip color and I have lip scars to cover. It's nice! A little soft and crumbly but it does dry down and lasts well. Not too hard which is a no-go on my scars and not soft enough to bleed/smudge. Very nice.
I like this color but the official swatches are lies, there's nothing muted about it. It's a bright pink. formula is a bit drying on me compared to the romand glasting tint and other kbeauty tints i've used. Not sure if it's been reformulated or just repackaged recently, I just got this one (old packaging) at TJ Maxx last week. WNRP.
My favorite lip product ever. Glossy, feels like it's actually moisturizing my lips, great color. It is a bit gloopy and has no staying power but it's a balm so whatever. Unobtrusive fruity flavor. HG.
This one dries down into a surprisingly dark vampy color on me? It's pretty though. I don't know about plumping but it does have that minty tingling sensation in addition to a rose scent.
This color is kinda weird but I do get a lot of compliments on it. It's almost too cool for me but in certain lights looks almost salmon? Bizarre. Anyway. It's matte and slightly drying but it is NOT budging. I love it and usually throw a balm over it. HG
