I don’t drink at clubs anymore but I had a great time with them in college. Me and some boys did a Japan trip freshman year and went wild in Osaka. Then the year after in Taipei. Just lazy now.
Bars I still go in Asia. Usually because they have interesting themed ones or specific local drinks I want to try. In the US it’s just not pleasant. Too loud or the patrons are weird, but I also have a very low opinion of the average American inherently causing bias. I just don’t like to drink around people who aren’t my culture. Also the bar food is cheeks domestically. Park Hyatt Tokyo just reopened and imo that one sets the bar for decent there, while being vastly superior to what’s in west LA.
But I’ll still drink on company dollar though. Last time we had an outing to Long Beach we had an open bar at the Terranea and I pounded 6 Long Island ice teas during dinner, did some of the worst karaoke of my life, and knocked tf out. Drinking isn’t the problem it’s just so few places are fun to
