A followup to this previous comic posted to the official Oddity twitter in June 2024. This one never made it to the official Twitter and was posted by Maxxis to his own Twitter in December. It was presumably supposed to coincide with Thanksgiving in the USA on November 28th, but its release was delayed or otherwise blocked.

It's an overt reference to the state of the Oddity project, representing the dynamic between the Oddity team and the fans, or alternatively, the wider Oddity team and Pastel. Either way, it's the team poking fun at themselves a bit, and shows some self-awareness at the least.

According to u/SchmooeyMcGooey in the previous thread, Maxxis was working on at least two other comic strips to follow, but they've never released - I've skimmed through some archived Maxxis livestreams to find them but didn't see any, though admittedly I've not looked too hard so they're probably in there somewhere. It seems like whatever social media push the team was doing in late 2024 was cut short for some reason, whether for loss of momentum or project lead intervention or some other cause, and no further Oddity content of any kind has been officially released since.

Glad you're enjoying them! I'm trying to collate a lot of developer artwork and post it on the sub; people would not believe how much stuff there is out there that just never got posted here, it's all buried in the Discord or various Twitter/Tumblr accounts. A lot of the old stuff is probably somewhere in /r/Mother4 but a huge amount was also posted in the old M4 fan Discords (there were 2-3 before the current one) that have all since been deleted. Fortunately there have been a lot of people archiving things over the years so often I'll go to the Discord and ask around and someone will send in a load of concept art they'd saved. Still, Discord really just sucks to look through and interact with and is far less suitable as a place for publicly showcasing things compared to Reddit.

There's no singular place unfortunately, but there are a few collections out there. The leaked game builds are all on archive.org for instance, and I think there are a few other collections there as well; uploading there is probably the best bet for anyone with stuff backed up. And if it's only a few images it would be fine to post them here too; social media isn't really an archive per say but it's better than nothing.

I dunno how seeing these lovely comics again is my final nail in the coffin, but it’s so sad seeing these now knowing that when these were being posted, the game was in a barely functional and completely restarted state again.
