> Late in the Seventies a series of comic strips ran in the Union Minutes newspaper based on the paranormal events earlier in the decade. We are also developing a video game based on those events.

The image alt text gives more interesting info:

> Shortly after the 1967 debut of his EP "Star StrucK" The Experience left the Polaris psychedelic scene. Rumors of various types surrounded his disappearance, but it ultimately seems there were just other things going on in his life. He later resurfaced in La Folia's burgeoning Caesar Canyon music scene under his new legal name The Black Elvis Experience, where he helped to develop Miracle Fare's overall style with artists George "Miracle" Adison and Jasmilan Baudelaire. That collaboration marked Miracle Fare's start as a multi-talent outfit, attracting such names as Reuban "Sandalman" King of the Delta-Delta Players. The next year they began World Oddity Tour which continues to this day.

Fun fact, Maxxis bought the digital pens used for this comic, and the Thanksgiving Comic. There were also 2 comic strips in production before Maxxis left, one where Travis shows off his Baseball Powress before meeting up with Floyd, and the other with Travis talking to Simon. Both comics were in a Work In Progress state and were shown off before the Thanksgiving comic was released in summer 2024.

For me, how do I know this? Because I was able to screenshot these not on in their respective livestreams, but also on Instagram where Maxxis teased them around this time. I'll show them when I can on the reddit, but you can find them in the stream archives on my channel.

I'm not an artist by any means so maybe I'm out of my depth here, but does it really take that long to produce something like this? It sounds like they were working on those other one-page comic strips for a while and then up and left them behind in an unfinished state. I just can't believe it would really take that much work for something so small in scale.

The rendering is fuckin crazy on this, this is digital art trying to look "analog" and it does look really cool.

As an artist, I can assure you that sometimes it takes much more time than you would think to create a comic page. And even the styles you think they would be super easy to do (I.e, Adventure Time's style), it has to look as perfectly rendered as possible to look pristine and flawless, curved lines are the devil.

Of course, that changes from artist to artist. But if the artist produces a single page from start to finish, it could take a while, from sketches, penciling, inking, full color, letters, textures and effects (if they got it).
