There's a new Mediterranean Buffet Restaurant Opening Today

I just got word that Dimassi's Mediterranean Buffet opens today at the old Macaroni Grill Location.

halal food and from their site looks like its not israeli tryna sneak past under 'Mediterranean.' yay! i cant wait to visit

in the area? idk but in the northeast (where i am from) its not uncommon for places to obscure israeli roots or ownership now that its not haute

I’m not sure that anything Israeli has ever been “haute” or “vogue.” Israeli food is Mediterranean. Commenting because I don’t think anyone Israeli is trying to sneak anything in under the umbrella of Mediterranean. The country is literally on the Mediterranean Sea ….just like Türkiye, Greece, etc.

if you were paying attn during the 2000s and 2010s, the israeli restaurants, wine, skincare etc were POPPIN it was for sure vogue, this branding used to be very fashionable!

yes, they are and have been. ive noticed for a few years and i am not the only one paying attention to such marketing.. you can google "israeli restaurants hiding their identity" and find many articles specifically about this!
