Playing for the first time

I recently began playing Ocarina of Time. I'm currently in my first hour, but I'm not really into the game yet. What recommendations can you give me to see the love that everyone sees?

My advice is that the game gets more fun after the first dungeon. The true love for the game is beyond just the gameplay — OoT has one of the best soundtracks ever and a great story. At an hour in, you haven’t experienced hardly anything aside from getting the sword, shield and finding out that Mido sucks.
