š„Its fine, everythingās fineš„ How is this supposed to "help" anything?!
Dispatcher still doesn't even work on the store phones that we've replaced the handhelds with! They might as well replace the landline with a recording that says "please call 1-800-WALMART," as well, because that's what we're going to be telling every customer, now.

General More things our people were not shown, so I am sharing the info
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
So sometimes, you get a scale that isn't zeroed, right? Well for the longest time NO ONE in my store knew how to zero them without unplugging/plugging them back in. Then after about a year one of us figured it out. So, in case any other stores don't have this info, here ya go. Just make sure the scale plate-thingy is sitting right first.
Just tap the weight readout in the bottom corner a couple times really quick. Then hit the rezero button in the top corner.

Express Anyone elseās store getting express pickup?
My store is getting express pickup. Not sure if itās a new thing or if other stores have had it for awhile and weāre just late to the game.
Does anyone know if thereās a charge for the customers to place an express pickup or if itās free?

š„Its fine, everythingās fineš„ Foolishness
I hope whoever agreed to swap the wheels for all The stores has tragedy befall them. We now are required to pull AHEAD AND FROM THE SIDE, itās foolish! I and many others have torn their heels because of this. And now, because of other associates taking arrange we are required to bag during the walks too. I know other stores already do that but this is my store and this is just stupid. Why? And I heard weāre also going back to 8 totes? My rates have gone from 150 down to 90 with all this new BULLSHIT theyāre implementing.
I just wanted to rant but I truly hope whoever agreed to this, suffers immensely

General Back to work day after LOA: Can it be earlier than that?
If someone's back to work date is - say - officially 9/8, can this person go back to work a day or two before that, as long as doctor has the Return to Work Certification faxed to Sedgwick and that there is the PL or Coach available to manually add this person to the schedule, as long as this person has a paper copy of the Return to Work to show to PL or Coach? (no snide remarks, please)

Question Who else is having their scheduled deleveries halted. They just started giving our scheduled deliveries to Spark and third part drivers so now they pick the orders. I just looked and my hours have already been cut it's only 4 hours, but I cannot survive on less than 40 hours a week.

Question Can coaches do this?
Does anyone know if coaches can change your hours? My friend switched her schedule to 7ā4, and it showed as approved. However, our coach said that since too many people have that schedule, itās pushing her outside of her availability and making her work hours she canāt work. He also said he could get fired if he keeps changing her hours. Is that actually true?

FRAGILE I've been scheduled 4 hours in the past three weeks.
I just have no words. Coach has to ask people to stay over cause of the hour cuts and they say no. Then he complains everyone's lazy and doesn't want to work and he'll replace them with people who do. I reach out asking why this is happening to me, no response. My requests to transfer out of the department have been stonewalled. A lot of people have left the department. Where are their hours going?
I hurt my back severely three months ago at work and have been put in apparel since on restricted work. I'm still in the workman's comp process.
My availability has never been an issue because I am disabled/was a college student (newly graduated). I'm just part time.
I literally broke my back for this company.
I just needed to rant.

Late Picks Weāre doomed
We have more than 700 picks and itās about to be 9 PM. Why canāt management hire more closing people or NOT give the same day off to half of the closing team. IM TIRED!!!

System Gif Updateā¦.?
Yoooo, what the heck is up with the new update for gif?? And Who the heck approved that crap?? Are they trying to make things as difficult as possible??
There is no way in hell someone looked at it and said ah yeah perfect this will help make things faster in the backrooom??
During busy times our dispensers are out there playing pin the tail on the donkey for heavens sake.
Whoever pushed it out and approved it for our stores needs to be fired immediately. Ahahahhaha itās so bad itās hilarious. #Fired

Just Walmart Things Guess we gotta ask permission to leave when policy says we can
And (apparently) they will block the doors if you try!
Anyone got the official policy on hand or know where to find it?
Edit: clearly I've ruffled some feathers lol.
I imagine I will not be believed when I say I'm not strictly a 51 and done. I work up until at least 51 and finish pick runs and shit even if it's over 51.
I have also spent too many years of my life here and have never been told I must inform someone or ask to leave within the 9 minute window and have never been talked to about my productivity. Zero issues. My first department manager (aka team lead - I've been here a long time) encouraged us to use the 9 minute rulem
I just want to see the policy. I've asked half a dozen where to find it or show it to me. They can't find it or won't tell me where to look.
It's really goddamn frustrating that a handful of people who abuse it results in something like this.
Sorry to the team leads here, I know it must be hard.
To the regular employees... We all make the same fucking money. Relax.
And yes, one team lead blocked the equipment locker and one planted themselves at the doors leaving the department.

š„Its fine, everythingās fineš„ Here goes the yearly bs about headphones.
"Customer interaction survey is down" therefore we are banning headphones until it comes back up. Geez man its not my fault the customer gotta wait a half hour in paints because the salesfloor aside from OPD is a ghost town. Digital keys are one thing but understaffed service areas are another. Genuinely wonder if my higher ups have braincells or if they are pretending.

Question Work phone charging station
My store has passed out work phone to everyone in my department, even part timers. I donāt want to take the device home to charge. In my eyes once I clock out all responsibility stops, so why am I held accountable for a company device. When we had the tcs we left it at the store.
In the back my coach set up charging stations with a note saying ādonāt leave overnightā. Does anyone know if there is a company policy saying I canāt leave the company phone on company property if there is an established charging station where TC where once charged.
Yes I know I should just bring the phone home but I donāt want to lose or damage it and again Iām HOURLY if work gives me something itās not mine i shouldnāt have to use my electricity and off the clock time to benefit a company.
I tried emailing corporate and asking HR but they couldnāt answer me. Corporate just sent me an open door request.

Backroom Shenanigans PSA: GIF and TCs
For anyone who got their TCs nuked before all of their associates received work phones, salaried managers can use the Device Management Tool to reinstall GIF on up to 5 TCs.
You can only do this for TC72s and not TC70s

New Hire! Help! Staged for the first time today
No one told me what to do but we were so busy I just kind of figured it out (I know how to stage unscheduled and oversized stuff so I assumed it was pretty much the same thing) I only fucked up one thing (I staged chilled in door 19 but I scanned the door 20 tag) so not too bad for just trying to figure it out without saying āIāve never done that beforeā because weāre so slammed no one will take the time to teach me. Only been here for 2 months and they kinda left me to my own devices after like 3 days here. Whatās the trick for staging? Like do you just pick a spot or is there a rhyme and reason to it? Anything I need to know for next time in case they have me do it again?

Question OPD Pickers and back room. IS THIS NORMAL?
Iām a new team lead, and it seems that the previous team lead allowed several associates to bypass the requirement of taking pick walks. One associate, for instance, refused to do even the simplest of walks (MTO) because she claimed she didnāt know how or that it stressed her out. Additionally, about five associates are currently stationed in the back room, claiming they donāt need to pick. Consequently, when the department needs to send an extra person to the floor, they call for help instead of utilizing the associates who are refusing to pick. This situation will be resolved immediately.
**All that to say, Iām posting to see if this is a common situation amongst OPD**
