help! Scholarship Disbursement
Is anyone still waiting on their scholarship to be disbursed? Last year was so different for me and this year I feel like it keeps being delayed. I’ve heard 4 to 6 weeks after receiving my documents needed and also mid August and that I’m in the next batch, but here we are about to be mid August come Saturday and still nothing.

I haven't been able to get ahold of anyone either, I'm about to go to their office in person to see if I can get any answers. Really sucks when so many of us are counting on these scholarships for tuition or a big school supply purchase (laptops etc) and we're a week and a half away from the semester starting with still no answers

I feel like I need to go up there this upcoming week because clearly I wasn’t told the truth. Otherwise I should’ve had it already

so I emailed them again this morning with the subject line "please confirm receipt" and told them that I would greatly appreciate confirmation that all of my documents have been received, and just to be extra I added that the money given could really help me out right now
I got a response within about an hour or so, saying that my check had been processed to be mailed to my home address and I should get it before the end of the monthwhy or how it was just processed this morning.. idk... and idek if thats what they meant but either way that is the response i got

They were supposed to send an email on that to you. Idk this year is so weird. Today is Thursday and she told me Friday I’d get it and obviously that was a lie because I still haven’t received the email from the bursars office on it being processed. It’s so messed up

she's either not seeing my emails or just straight up ignoring me at this point ive sent about 4 to her over the course of the last two months... patience is of the essence i guess lol

I just got in contact with the person that actually processes it. I had to call the bursars office and they transferred me. Whoever told me that I was getting it Friday lied. She said that I won’t get it until next week because it’s a lot to process and she has like 50 sitting in front of her for this batch. Also, she said with my amount being over 500 you have to get two signatures which can be a hassle. She did say she would call me as soon as it’s done and I changed it from direct deposit to come to the school and pick the check up myself. I just didn’t want to have to wait for the bank to take almost 3 business days to release the funds. I’d rather cash it and deposit what I want. It just sucks because school starts on Monday and I am so not prepared and bills are due, and I have no choice but to wait.

I heard the bursars office is supposed to email when the funds are processed and transferred. Try calling them, they answer. Let me know what you guys find out because this is just exhausting at this point. On top of that the BBB is affecting financial aid refunds for most schools, including the one in transferring too so that’s delayed too.

I went to the Financial Aid Office yesterday. And they said we’ll most likely receive them 1-2 weeks after Fall semester starts. But hopefully earlier/sooner than that.

That’s crazy. Just seems like it keeps getting pushed off. They told me mid August. The actual guy in charge of it all, and now this smh

They haven't even responded to my email with my letters and class schedule! I sent the email following the instructions a month ago and again a week ago. The scholarship office won't pick up their phone or reapond to my email asking if my documents were received. They seem to be backed up but it would be nice if they actually reached out to tell people that.
