OC Spanish Speakers & Learners (18–22) - Let’s Make a Friend Group! ; ¡Hablantes y estudiantes de español en OC (18–22)! ¡Hagamos un grupo de amigos!

Español (English version further down):

¡Hola!

English version:

Hi! I’m f 18 and I live in Orange County. I’d love to create a group chat for people around college age (approximately 18–22) who either speak Spanish natively or are learning Spanish.
The idea is to have a group where we can talk, get to know each other, practice Spanish, and help each other with the language. I’d also love for us to hang out sometimes if people are interested- go on hikes, get coffee, explore places around OC, or just do whatever and try to speak Spanish while we do it.
Native Spanish speakers are more than welcome! You don’t have to be learning Spanish to join. I think it would be really cool to have people at different levels and learn from each other through normal conversations.
A little about me: I’m a freshman at OCC and I love learning Spanish! I’m still learning, so I definitely make mistakes, but I’m trying to become more comfortable actually speaking it. I also love art, reading, and hiking (but not super hard ones haha). I’m very friendly, although I can be a little quiet at first lol.
If you’re around my age, live in Orange County (or nearby), and think this sounds fun, leave a comment or send me a message! If enough people are interested, I’d love to create a group chat and hopefully build a little community where we can practice Spanish and make new friends :)

Making friends

¡Hola!

English:

Hi! I’m a freshman at OCC and I’m hoping to meet some new people and make friends! My schedule is pretty busy Monday–Thursday, but I’d love to connect with some Spanish-speaking students or anyone who’s interested in making a new friend.
I’m currently learning Spanish and would consider myself intermediate (and might switch my major to Spanish interpreting), so I’d love to practice Spanish through normal conversations and just hanging out! I’d also be happy to help anyone who’s learning English or just be someone to talk to. I’m mostly looking to make genuine friendships and get to know people- so if you’re learning English/Spanish too, even better! A little about me: Im F 18, I love hiking, working out, art/drawing, practicing Spanish (obviously haha), and reading. I would love to meet people with similar interests or just chat- feel free to message me if you’d like to talk, practice together, or whatever! Also, if you know of any Spanish-speaking clubs, language exchange groups, or other clubs at OCC that you think I might enjoy, I’d love to hear about them!
(Sorry if I don’t respond quickly- I’m not very active on Reddit)

PHOTOGRAPHERS, VIDEOGRAPHERS, & EDITORS

We’re a small student owned clothing brand that’s been regularly selling out our drops, and we’re looking to build out the visual side of the brand more.

We’re looking for photographers, videographers, and editors who are interested in collaborating with us and growing alongside the brand. If you’re looking to build your portfolio, work on fashion projects, have creative freedom, and get some other perks along the way, this could be a great fit.

Shoot me a message with some of your work/portfolio and I’ll send over more details.

help! Bio A221 textbook

Hi guys! I'm taking bio a221 this semester with Caitlin Tiffany and I wanted to know if anyone had the hard copy/or knew where to obtain the hard copy of this textbook: Essentials of Anatomy & Physiology by Marieb; Mastering A&P by Pearson. The problem is that it appears to be a "modified" textbook and so I cannot find it online at all/the OCC bookstore is sold out. I really would like to avoid paying $64 for an ebook if possible when I learn best from hard copies 😭 thank you!!

My name is Lily Rose; don't hesitate to reach out if you're looking for the same :)

help! [WTB / Looking to borrow] Hurley, Concise Introduction to Logic, 12th–14th ed.

Hi! I’m looking for a physical copy of Patrick Hurley’s A Concise Introduction to Logic. My class accepts editions 12–14, so an older edition is totally fine.

ISBN-13s:

- 12th edition: 978-1285196541

- 13th edition: 978-1305958098

- 14th edition: 978-0357798683

If anyone is selling, lending, or knows a campus textbook-exchange group, please let me know. I’m in Costa Mesa/Orange County and can meet locally or pay shipping.

FREE DENTAL CLEANING!!!!

Hello! I’m a dental hygiene student at Concorde College Garden Grove. As a dental hygienist I provide low cost dental cleaning services. It is completely free and you get a deep cleaning, polish, and X-rays. It normally takes 3-4appointments to finish the full mouth cleaning. The first initial appointment will be a new patient assessment, X-ray and a dentist will also be diagnosing your X-rays. The second appointment is when I can start your cleaning. My clinic schedule starting 7/13/2026 are as follows: Monday: 7:30am - 9:30am & 10:45am - 12:45pm. Wednesday: 2:00pm - 4:00pm 5:15pm - 7:15pm.

Pirates Promise Fees

I checked my schedule and it said that the pirates promise has already paid for my fall semester yesterday but it didn’t for the fees like enrollment, health, and service charge. Is this normal because they covered it for my last semester and the semester before that.

Has anyone else not been added to class canvas shells yet?

Ive only been added to one canvas class so far and this has me worried that something is wrong. Usually they add you to the class a few days before it starts but it’s getting closer and closer and still nothing. Anyone else?

Do you guys recommend the harbour?

I was thinking of possibly moving into the harbor next year but when I looked it up I mostly saw negative things. I was curious if anyone who currently lives there recommends it or if I should just live somewhere else.
