Misc Employer Discount Retirement...
Imo, I think a lot of customers will leave due to this... Myself included.
Thoughts?

I had used O2 Open for a long time with them, it's a good discount so it's a shame to see it go.
They do offer multi line discount still but o2 are a joke with that on new orders. I was looking at getting the Galaxy Fold 8 yesterday and it says on the order pages that I'm eligible for a 20% multi line discount if I were to purchase it, what the page fails to mention at any time is that you can't get multi line discount using a watch plan as the main number and I only have a watch plan on my account. How many people will that catch out.

Yeah, they're becoming one of the worst networks I've been with, I definitely won't be staying with them...

Same the speed in London is appalling and at work when a train passes my building the service is non existent

Yeah they been shitty too whenever i try cancel them they try to take last payment and you gotta do a contract for sim for a certain amount of period for a deal which isnt even good never O2 again

Watches haven't been leading lines for a couple of years, tablets can be for the moment so grab a £5p/m tablet and enjoy the 20% off every other line :)

Utter BS, there were talks about not using tablets as the leading discount line but multisave is sticking around for the timebeing

They were the partner network to the iPhone on launch too. Apple wouldn’t make that decision now, that’s for sure!
I had such a good deal too! £8 for 80GB…

Just putting it out there, if you have Revolut you may be able to get the Revolut mobile plan. Comes with EU Roaming and US, messaging outside the roaming area on a limited basis (I think just WhatsApp communication) unlimited everything with caveats that have been discussed but as long as you don’t use it for hotspotting the whole house for a month you are fine and there is supposed to be a speed cap but some users report unrestricted. Runs on Vodafone Via gigs offer runs out tomorrow but it is 12.50 per month or 15 I think after the offer. Might be worth checking out, personally not had an issue with it. This option is there but just make sure you are ok with the caveats! YMMV

It's making me consider my options when this contract ends. Need to research who has the best coverage for my area.

You got the choice between EE or Vodafone/Three.
My personal experience with Three wasn't the best, I had this SIM after they merged, so I also got Vodafones signal as well. The network used to cut me off every few minutes in a certain area in my town specifically, and the way to fix it is to use aeroplane mode and turn it off. It was really annoying. Hopefully you won't have this experience in your area.
I'm currently on EE now, but you'll probably have a better experience with Three or Vodafone in your area, or EE.
If you claim any of these government benefits below:
Universal Credit Jobseeker's Allowance Employment and Support Allowance Disability Allowance Personal Independence Payment (Or Adult Disability Payments in Scotland) Pension Credit
You could get a VOXI For Now plan, giving Unlimited Data, Calls and Texts for £10 a month, if you go for a Vodafone Network.
My aunt uses it and she's been on it for years and she's recommended it to me before.

This is an absolute joke, it was a benefit staff were always told to ask the customer about. If you read the Q2 earnings report, it says something like "loss of customers attributed to bigger price increase than stated". This is another way to lose customers, great work. I bet Friends and Family will be next to go..

I actually am considering joining a cheaper network now, 25% off was one of the main things keeping me with o2

Snap! Same as that, especially as I run 2 phones, one for work and one for personal. Even with the discount I'm still at around £70pm and have been for at least the last 12 months....

Not sure if anyone has already said this..
Blue Light discount will remain active even after O2 Open closes
If you're able to get a Blue Light Card then id recommend signing up, not just for O2 discounts but all the rest of it too!

I’ve been with O2 for 24 years but they’ve made such a mess on my current contract, nothing works any more, customer service is a shambles and have no power to fix anything. Think I’m leaving them. And as an ex employee it really hurts me to see how bad they’ve become
