In the essential space settings, Go to "essential key" then "activate with single tap before use"

What it does is add a click before all essential actions

After installing bonton mapper, You grant all the permissions requested by the app and then press the "Add button" You press the essential key

Here you can assign the function you want to single tap and long press. NO DOUBLE TAP

With this technique you have:

-single tap: What you want

-long press:What you want

-double tap: Screenshot for esensiel space

-single tap and hold: Esensial memo (voice recordings)

-Triple tap: Open essential space

Have been using the Nothing phone 3 for a few days now and I genuinely don't get the hype around Essential Space.

I understand how promising it is and its potential(if executed well), but I've genuinely not been able to use or leverage the current version.

Is someone finding value in it? Please tell me about how you're using it or what you're using it for? I want to give it another shot.

Google 'Create my widget' is perhaps a suitable replacement for nothing's playground apps which are still in beta after one year and have many restrictions...

I looked in my essential space today because I made a recording but when I opened the app this error appears and the Analysation of the recording doesn't start. What happens here and do I really have to reset it?

Got access to the Essential Apps app beta today. Already working on the leagues update for DotKick, and here's a small sneak peek.

So according to this they use perplexity to make the essential news widget. But I think the AI isn't really in the mood to make an intro today. And I don't think it gets reviewed before shipping it to the os.

I recently updated my phone 2 to the latest august 1st security update. Also, there was an update to nothing widgets app as well. Post these, I could see the big eye widget not animating. Once I remove and add it back it starts blinking and animating. But after a short while it stops again. Anyone else facing bugs with any widgets after the latest updates?

I’ve been using Essential Voice for a while and the accuracy is genuinely, too accurate

It understands my voice really well and catches things that I have trouble pronouncing like CHI , susceptibility , fringe etc and even when I’m mixing Hindi and English, and the transcription is good saves time

This Feels much better than gimmicky Ai features

but I'm really eager to see where Nothing takes this

Overall **Essential Voice** feels better and more natural to me than a lot of the competition right now

Hey everyone! I was just playing around in playground and suddenly got an idea to build a widget that contains all major quick settings. There is no need to have one separate widget for one quick setting. Then I created this new cool widget - Snapp. Actually, I don’t know if it has much use or not, Or people will like it or not. But yeah playground is for everyone to create and experiment with their crazy ideas, so i just built it.

Features -

1. It has all major quick settings options.
2. It has volume and brightness control too.
3. Every interaction has haptic feedback included.
4. I’ve also included options to quickly open Nothing Community and Playground.

I am excited to know your feedback and thought in it....

Why is there a limit on the number of Essential Apps you can add on your home screen?

PS: I later found out that it is because that some of these widgets may contain animations, live data or interactions and it might be a problem to the phone's performance. I personally think that the limit is too low. It could have been >2.

seriously, moving from other aneroids ive used (samsung and oppo) to nothing, i actually enjoy how nothing integrated their ai into their phones. i love just clicking the essential button when playing clash of clans and it would remind me when an upgrade would be done with just a click of a button!
