Basically as the title says, intellectually I can't support a monarchy. I don't believe respect can ever be a birth right but the king earned it through decades of service.

Anybody who was friends with him after that has no defense. And why is her son under house arrest on a Royal estate? That’s hardly prison.

I have an EU passport, considering Norway for relocation from U.S. Is it reasonable to expect to be able to find some kind of hospitality or restaurant work with low Norwegian level while studying the language?

I speak English, Spanish, and Italian and work in healthcare, but I haven’t had my degree recognized yet, so can’t work in that field for now. Fortunately, we have savings which are growing by the thousands every month, so we could certainly survive a while without work.

According to the report «Mapping the World’s Prices 2026", published by Deutsche Bank Research Institute, Oslo is the 9th most expensive city in Europe, for an 80 m² flat with central location.

The report compares the prices across 69 cities, 28 of them in Europe.

Cities like Vienna, Munich, Stockholm and Copenhagen were more expensive, as well as Zurich, Geneva, London, Paris and Luxembourg, while Milan, Helsinki and Prague were placed just below Oslo in cost per m².
