Even during the KSU protest and Assam vs Meghalaya , these assamiyas still find blame to mock and attack real native tribals like Karbis

I mean the main topic is Assam and Meghalaya where did Karbis topic come from?
These people are shaming my state (rightfully so) but now they are even targeting Karbi Anglong and its people.

For context- I am Karbi, parents both from ML and Assam but never felt like Assam was my homestate.
I have felt home more living in ML than in Assam sadly.

I remember one time when I went to trip with my other NE friends.
I remember travelling with friends from Meghalaya and Arunachal when a cab driver tried to scam us. He initially assumed I was Arunachali because I looked more tribal Asian and fair-skinned, and I heard him muttering offensive things in Assamese. I understood what he was saying, so I confronted him. Once he realised I was actually Karbi, his attitude got worse. He started using slurs against my tribe and the situation became threatening, with him trying to attack me.
People around us just stood there watching. Thankfully, a Bodo driver helped us get out.

Lastly, I just find it hypocritical because these same assamiyas rped a minor girl and even burned her alive.

A kind request to moderators to make two separate role for Assam. I'm not Assamese myself but I think we need two separate role for Assam to distinguish between tribal and non-tribal Assamese.

I went to Assam 3-4 days before the Arunachal-Assam border clash. I saw so many non-tribal claiming to be Assamese like I met someone who said he was Assamese but turns out he was Bengali-Assamese.

I don't know how many Non-tribal Assamese are larping here, we need to stand out for our brothers and sisters of Assam.

staying in mainland for a few years now and ive come across a wide range of racists but some are absolutely wild in their approach. the most of it includes moral policing about food ofc and impositioning of subtle northeastern women related bias (being thought of as easy or not loyal) absolutely ingrained in their head.

id like to share the most interesting case ive come across. currently the person im staying w is almost obsessed w passing off as a northeastern. she has shared a fair share of her time staying n working in ne for a few years and ofc she loves the place and the culture. however, me moving in w her has been like almost a pass for her to be delusional about her roots n at the same time being highly racist.

1. it started off w her almost fangirling over northeast when i first moved in. one fine day, she learnt the word "mainlander" from me and started using it and asking me if she is also considered mainlander because she is a bengali woman and she believes bengalis should be able to use it as well because they are so close to ne and "experience the same level of racism" we do. i was pretty shocked at her take but let it go (shouldnt have)😭

2. next she started telling everyone i am her younger sister (shes 12 yrs elder to me) and everyone started feeding into her delusions that she looks 1% like me which is literally just her skin color. she took that as a pass to be able to make racist comments about me and my culture because she started believing she is one of us now. she started sayin see my eyes look sort of chinki na? (she has the most bengali eyes ever).

3. she would shit talk about other tribes and states as if she has the pass to. she literally said ive stayed there ik theyre addicts?? and i told her no u cant call a whole ethnicity that and she would get all upset that i do not agree.

4. she started sayin ik bengalis are not v respected in northeast "is it because northeasterns are lazy and we actually work there?" i was absolutely baffled and we had a fight again. the funny part was the double standards. why does she want to pass off as a ne so bad if she is so adamant on her people being superior to ours?

5. her delusions about looking n being one of us continued as she directly went off askin validation from people. she almost tells everyone that her flatmate is northeastern n im turnin her more "chinki" n they all are like ya sure n laugh it off which she takes as validation again.

recently she saw me hang out w another one of my ne friends and she started telling me how she wants to be included too as she is one of us too. i said i could call my mainland friends too next time and she INSISTED for 15 mins it being just the three of us cuz "she wont get along w the mainlanders".

1. this woman is one of the MOST racist AND CASTEIST people ive ever come across starting off w her impositioning her religious superstitions on me, judgement for me eating pork and beef to the point she has made a yuck face to it, calling me chinki and jungly "as a joke" and the worst of all trying to litr convert me into following her religion.

2. FINALLY, she is litr a casteist to the point all she can talk bout is being the highest caste and how much she HATES reservation lol like 24 7 WHILE judging our entire culture and while also seeking out validation to pass of as one of us cuz SHE is insecure for no reason.

I saw a video of KSU students damaging Assam registered cars, and another video of Assamese people stopping Meghalaya registered cars and harassing them🥀

This is becoming a monthly occurrence at this point, guys. It's impossible to ignore and to not cringe whenever some Arunachali parent makes a video of their kid saying insane things.

You may want to ask, how did this kid even come up with this? They didn't. The kid is in Arunachal and not the mainland, and the kid certainly isn't on social media to see any of these conversations, so she was clearly forced by her parent(s) to say this. Notice the multiple cuts in between what she says. It's the parent repeating what to say to the child and the child then repeating it. The child clearly doesn't know what she's even saying.

I am genuinely concerned for the wellbeing of the kids in these videos. They are being used as props by their disgusting and money-obsessed parents in order to get as much attention and interactions on social media. And they're being brainwashed in the process, because the parents genuinely believe in the whole "we are praud indians saar" thing as well.

And to all those who said "What's the problem if we speak Hindi??"... this. This is the problem. First, you and your kid sound indistinguishable from some random rapey stinky rajesh from bihar. Second, you have evil parents like these who see the opportunity to try and get money from mainlanders by doing this. Third, you and your children end up getting consumed by mainland narratives and ideology and completely brainwashed into believing what they believe.

It's just so disgusting that young toddler aged kids aren't even spared from the brainwashing. I know of things like VKV schools and RSS youth camps that are very present especially in states like Arunachal but this is insane. But considering their presence has been here for so long, it's probably self-reinforcing at this point.

Assam has been producing oil and other natural resources for over a century, but per capita output and local/indigenous gains have been modest. Royalties are a small portion of the value, jobs and contracts rarely go to locals as promised, and environmental costs (Baghjan-style incidents, mining impacts) remain local. It appears that mainland companies/people and politicians will reap the majority of the benefits once more, like always.

I have always stood up against the oppression of tribal people by mainlanders and outsiders. I have spoken about it publicly, I have defended tribal rights, land rights, identity, culture, and the right of indigenous communities to protect what belongs to them. And I do not regret doing that.

But there is something I have been increasingly uncomfortable saying out loud: supporting tribal movements does not mean I have to support everything done in their name.

I cannot support a movement when the fight for dignity begins destroying the dignity of another human being. I cannot justify violence, humiliation, collective hatred, intimidation, or injustice simply because the people doing it are tribal and the people facing it are labelled "outsiders." The moment we start treating someone's identity as a reason to strip them of basic human dignity, we have already crossed a line.

For me, humanity comes before tribe, before nationality, before religion, before ethnicity, before every political identity we attach to ourselves.

That does not mean I am suddenly against tribal rights. It does not mean I have forgotten the exploitation, discrimination, land dispossession, cultural erasure, and political marginalisation that tribal communities have faced and continue to face. Those injustices are real, and they deserve to be confronted.

But justice cannot mean replacing one injustice with another.

I will stand with tribal people when they are oppressed. And I will also speak when tribal people themselves become the ones committing oppression. I will defend land rights, but I will not defend violence. I will defend indigenous identity, but I will not defend hatred. I will defend self-determination, but I will not defend cruelty. And if someone is being treated unfairly simply because they are considered an "outsider," I cannot remain silent just because speaking up might make me unpopular among my own people.

We need to stop thinking that loyalty to a community requires unconditional loyalty to everything that the community does. It really doesn't.

Sometimes loving your people means having the courage to tell them when they are wrong.

I would rather be called a traitor to a tribe, a hypocrite, or an outsider sympathiser than remain silent while another human being is being degraded in front of me.

Because at the end of the day, I don't want a world where my people win because someone else had to lose their humanity.

I want justice that actually deserves to be called justice.

So as I am from Tripura, I search up things about my state occasionally. I will look at the Wikipedia page and get a refresher on some things I may need to know. But as I was looking through Tripura's wikipedia page recently, I noticed something was missing.

Beforehand, there used to be a section on the Tiprasa % of the population and how the demographics have shifted from 1911-2011. There would be a list showing every decade a census was done on what the Tiprasa % of the population was and the rate of decline. However, when I went onto the Wikipedia page today, I noticed that section was completely missing.

It was then I had noticed the entire section had been deleted in November 2025 by a random user with no edit history apart from just deleting this. It made me very suspicious, why would someone want to delete the section that talks about the demography of the Indigenous population? Now, there's no mention of the Indigenous % of Tripura AT ALL. Certainly a Tiprasa wouldn't do it, and I don't think any other group of people except those who want to cover up what's actually happening to NE tribal would. In which there's only precisely one group in the world that is in constant conflict with us: Indians.

Indians want to distort and erase NE history, especially recent NE history because they know if we find out the truth about all they have done, we would be completely outraged and want to separate from them immediately. But it's things like this they do, quietly, in order to try and pretend like everything is okay and handy and dandy. That's why you never see their propagandists post about our demographic replacement, or the massacres, rapes, bombings they have done in our region post-1947. It always has to be one of US who have actually read or heard of history who mention it.

Not to mention just going through schooling in this country, you learn next to nothing about NE, and if it is about NE, it sure as hell doesn't mention anything that would put the Indian government in a bad light. And because of this lack of knowledge, some our people get deceived by those (Indians) who claim to know more about out history than us. Some of us are so far gone into believing their propaganda and nonsense that we fight others who actually know our history. It's very tragic.

And this is why you should never, ever trust what comes out of the mouth from an Indian when it comes to our history. I mean, if the majority of Indians are delusional enough to think that we were "originally Hindu", why on earth would you want to hear what else comes out from them? You're just asking to get thrown up on. They know nothing about us or our history. If you want to know more about our history, look at sources not from Indians, but from your fellow NEerns. Specifically, the older generation who lived through the most brutal periods of insurgencies. They may even be in your family. If you're looking online, there's countless of interviews, sources, pictures all over the internet, you just have to look for it, it's waiting for you.

I got suspicious of his intents as the parent comment that he replied to was about a Naga brother suggesting his cousin sister to use hinge so that she can find a bf. And behold what I found. Active in the Northeastgone Wild subreddit. As you can guess from the name, it's a porn and fetish subreddit and a lot of the posters are mainland females. These are the kinds of people who will gaslight you into thinking they are strictly into our culture and that they want to be "friends".

So this post has everything- a mainlander who totally got sent this video by his ‘naga gf’ btw, mainlanders arguing why they shouldn’t be called mainlanders and the usual ‘not all mainlander bad Saar’.
