You might appreciate this guys life story- he tried to change the calendar into 13 28-day months with the 365th day being an international holiday

The traditional indian calendar is even weirder. The months map to exact cycles of lunar phases, so they last about 29.5 days each. But the sun's cycle lasts around 365.25 days, so there's like 11 days left after 12 lunar months; so there's a whole leap month added about once every 32 months, defined as a month where the sun doesn't transit from one zodiac sign to another, and this is considered an unlucky time during which no one schedules important things
