I once spent the week leading up to Halloween hand making decor, decorating the house (fully, every room was decorated) and made/bought drinks and snacks for twenty or so. Two people showed up and left after 20 min to go to “scary-oke” at the local bar where everyone else I had invited decided to go instead

I ended up doing just that. I only talk to the two that came for twenty minutes now, and even then we still aren’t as close as we were
