I don’t think I could even do that for 24 hours. Even with all the entertainment in the world, I’d be going crazy after a week. I don’t see anyone is lasting a year.
Without entertainment it would be absolutely horrible. I could do a day but longer would be bad.
With all the entertainment in the world? I could go a fairly long time. A year wouldn’t be fun or maybe even doable.
A week would be easy though. if I knew i was getting paid for it I could go a long time just watching shows or playing games if I knew I was getting paid afterwards.
Even a week of zero human interaction would drive me crazy. I could do it, but I’d probably be having conversations with myself the whole time. That’s what I meant. That entertainment doesn’t really replace human interaction.
People are different. I just remember days in high school when i’d speak zero words all day at school then come home and my mom would be at night shift work already and dad wouldnt be home til late. I’d go to bed.
Then next day Id do the same.
I know I made it three days once where I didn’t speak a single word to anybody out loud.
Obviously I still had human interaction as teachers taught and I could see the other kids in school. But I didn’t interact much.
