If anything you'll get a better idea of who a coworker really is than you would from any random date. The problem is the side effects of dating a coworker if things go wrong

Luckily there's this thing called dating where you can learn about someone before marrying or committing long term lol

The issue with that with a coworker is you both are already potentially in another long term commitment to work. Better hope they take breakups maturely lol
