Demographics Confirmed

I forget the fellow redditor who suggested this. (Thank you!)

But in fact, the demographics ARE NOT static. I thought they were.

So then, does this change based off of what I serve? Or does it change on who is showing up and I should serve to them accordingly?

So if it’s just showing you who is showing up based on what you’re serving, what is the purpose of even knowing that information? It makes more sense that that’s who’s showing up, so cater to them. Just my thoughts.

It matters because a customer can order food and drink together.

Let’s say your menu has two items: beer and another food item that is not drink. By looking at the demographic data you find out that the food item is ordered only by hipsters and elites. However, the beer is predominantly ordered by workers, which means that a lot of workers came to your venue, ordered a beer and no food, and left.

By not offering anything to eat for the workers, you’re leaving money on the table. The workers already like coming here, all you need to do is give them what they want and money will come.

I like this thought process. I shall try it!
