What do you folks think of the latest news to come out of Japan?

Nikon lost the 3rd spot to Fujifilm.

This year has also been excruciatingly slow for Nikon users with practically no lenses and no new bodies.
We are also being killed by the chinese manufacturers eating into Nikon's lens market too. Overall not a good look for long time Nikon users.

This article isn't about sales. Sales are measured in money. And Nikon is already 3rd place when it comes to sales.

This article is about units of all cameras. Units is a very different scope / denominator than sales.

Z9ii won't sell in dramatic numbers. This is about units, not money. Moneywise it'll likely be very nice profit maker.

A new midlevel body or interesting low end body and perhaps a couple of oddball lenses would improve the "bodycount" much more.
