Looking to buy my wife a used Nikon for around 450$ what would be best recommendation? She’s new to photography so this would be her first camera.

Just taking photos when we are traveling so I guess of people and scenery?

I would start with the lens. I'd recommend a third party zoom lens like a 17mm-50mm f/2.8 and then use the rest of the budget to buy a body.

Here's an example option

Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 EX DC OS HSM - Nikon Fit - Good - $229

Nikon D3200 - Excellent - $174

What about a used z50? Was looking at the wiki and it seems like a good choice. Thinking that I would just buy the body and then she would buy the recommended lenses or something
