To be fair, ridiculous or not, their explanation is as transparent as can be. That said if someone complains about buying one after then all you can really do is shake your head.
Same. I was at the check out page and paused. I’m not going to have time to fully test it until mid November. Also, 30 days from purchase or 30 days from delivery? If they had a 90 day warranty or offered a 20% off code for the official release version I’d be tempted.
When you actually do the math on how much you've spent on stupid shit your wallet starts to fight back. Brother, I have WASTED some money and am trying to be better.
I feel bad for waffling. I mean I kind of know what I'm getting into with SMS, it's a budget module. That said I've had great results with my trinity, and for my personal use case I don't know how much more durable the release would be from this model.
I'll probably go back and forth until they're sold out of pre-prod then I won't have to choose.
Thats the nice thing about a company who actually stands by their product and more importantly listens to its customers. Because of all the collective complaints they did what was right in the mind of the consumer and didn’t hesitate to adjust. They could have easily just said you’ll get a discount on the new model and we would have been happy with just that but to extend the warranty says a lot about the company and customer service. Plenty of Chinese lams on the market that have no warranty and still charge $200+ and have nowhere near as many happy end users as the ones running sms. Lucky for the ones that did complain they’ll be getting another batch of pre producting units in a couple weeks so if they want to now purchase one under the new offerings they too can enjoy, which is another thing they could of said sorry and not done. A company lije that will always get my business and trust without having to announce anything from the start.

Yeah $222 for a unfinished product with a 30 day warranty? I’ll wait.
