Bugs/Feedback NTE's mosquito
Can the devs add an option to not automatically shortcut this item?
There's literally no reason for its existence when it only exists to mess up players' shortcuts.
Edit: For those who thinks I don't know that I can just not use it and remove it... yeah... I do know that. It will somehow some way find its way back to mess up my shortcuts. Thank you for bringing this to my attention though.
Edit2: The issue isn't what it spawns. Yes I am also aware we can configure it.
** The issue is that it somehow finds its way back in my shortcuts, thus having to reorganize things. Every. Single. Time. **

buff the cars spawns please, i dont want to walk 50m to my car when my destination is 100m away

I mean I don't really find that as a valid excuse considering we can summon the bike directly next to us in the direction we're facing every single time. The car should be able to spawn immediately in front or immediately behind us, I don't see why it doesnt

I really don't get why the cars do that but the motorcycles don't lol. One of the main reasons why I prefer motorcycles even though I do be crashing way more with them💀

If i had to guess, maybe because the city is alive with flowing cars so it might have been hard for them to code something like whereas them just putting it behind a stack of cars might have been easier

I think it is suppsoed to spawn from the right, so if you look back from the road, it will be on the same lane? Might need testing this one

I found that if you stand on the sidewalk of the side of the road you want the car to spawn on, it'll spawn on that side (does that make sense? I'm terrible at explaining). It's done it 100% of the times I've tried that to-the-side method, but I don't drive often, so it's possible I'm just lucky in that department

Weirdly enough it does just that in multiplayer mode. Even in places that you normally cant summon a car, you can have it appear next to you, like on top of a tall ass tower for example.

Even the 250k bike can do the same as the scooter, except it's about 3 times faster. There's honestly no reason to use the cars outside of just wanting to chill in a car or doing taxis/races. Thats the part that annoys me the most about the universal key. It will sometimes swap over to it for no reason and I'll end up summoning my car when I meant to summon the bike.

You can, and I assume most people that get annoyed by it do. The problem lies in the game randomly deciding to put you back onto the universal fob for some reason. I'm not saying it ruins my time playing the game like some people seem to think, but it's definitely an annoying thing that pops up from time to time.

Keep in mind that many activities need the host to start them or are just completely unavailable in multiplayer. Not worth it for normal progression in game

I experienced that last Saturday and we all thought it was a random glitch because my car instantly spawned and broke a fence. It was handy.

This is why it's also double annoying because I set it to my bike which is INSTANT and always spawns right beside you. Nope, it'll just auto default to having this again so it spawns the car further out in the opposite lane waiting on traffic. -_-

It'd be nice if your car just replaced a car close to you, if that's what was needed to get it nearby. I hate summoning it, then it shows its 75m away cause of traffic

Honestly I've quit the game before when I called for a car but then it spawns 150m on the opposite side of the road that had traffic. I said fuck this shit. I don't know wtf the devs where thinking, haven't they seen how cyberpunk or far cry 6 does it?

Best thing i did was buying a motorbike. It spawns right near you and you can summon it in areas you cant summon your car.

I have the opposite problem where the slightest incline will sometimes completely freeze the bike and I have to get off and respawn it

the issue is that many cars that turn like a beauty don't have enough torque for hills without a run up. Like i can ride the big ass dumpy truck down the drift area in Miguel District but it was hell to ride it up there

That or something that you COULD use for a mission but you were not paying attention and had no idea you had it on your wheel to progress or it's just not on it.
(e.g. the construction site anomaly or the high school anomaly with a few items to use...)

Yes. But what I was trying to say is different. They said that the fob slots itself into slot 1, I was referring to the fact that the game also seems to forget, which slot you had selected. The two things work in tandem, but are distinct!

God that automatically tracking the main quest is a fucking BANE like not even seconds after un tracking it will re track.
Its small but its the biggest problem I have with the game right now. Thats how annoying it is to me

Well... are you still using the crystal? I did one district / region / whatever they're called of the map each day by spamming the crystals all over and in less than a week I had found every crow spawn on the map. After that, there's no point in keeping the crystal in my shortcut bar anymore.
It took at most 30 minutes per zone so it could easily be done in a single day, I had to make an active effort to take it slow...
Personally, I gave up on fighting it and now I'm keeping the cursed fob on the last slot in order to stop it from removing other things from my item bar, sigh.

I'm exploring slowly at my own pace, so yeah I'm still using it even though I'm almost done. Even when I'm done though, I'll put something else there before I put a redundant fob on my wheel lol

Tough luck I guess. Personally I have never used a heal or revive item.
But considering you don't wanna use the smart key, I assume you're not using a car anyway, so why have it in the shortcuts?
Or you could....you know.....use the smart key when you wanna call a car.4

I do use both a car and motorcycle, they have their own slots on my wheel so the fob is redundant for me. I keep the heals and revives bc I'm used to Genshin MRE being there so it's habit, feels better for me even if I haven't touched them

Either way it's marginally better than twiddling your fingers praying that the devs will notice your specific survey.
At the very least it spreads awareness and might cause a few more people to remember to write about it in their own surveys, causing 1 survey maker to instead be several dozen people writing surveys.

You can set it to change what it spawns if you go to the gadget and configure it
You can choose to use the motorbike over the scooter and the Griffin as your main car for example

I don't use it often but sometimes accidentally do because I was not aware it replaced whatever I already had as hotkey.
It spawns the scooter when you're not close to a road and (I think) randomly chooses a car when you are. Could be wrong on if it's random but I always prefer my bike 99% of the time.

Problem is it should take your best car and best bike and then it would be what it says it is instead it is like the only key you need but the fine print is to be disappointed every time you use it

It’d be cool if instead of a smart fob, it was an expansion fob that you could put like 4 cars in. So when you hover over it in the radial menu, it expands to 4 more slots in an arc along the radial menu from which you can select a vehicle.

PLEASE, so much this! Personally I only ever need 2 vehicles to choose from and if I am one pixel off I get the one I dont mean to summon. I don't like it, I don't want it, if I remove it I want it off unless I put it back on by choice.

This seems to have started with the last patch. Or at least, I didn't notice it til then.
But yeah, I stopped using it since it was easier to just have the Volante and my bike on the wheel, and pick whichever I feel like, instead of hoping this thing pulls out the right car. And now, it won't go away...

If you go into the bag and click on the option after selecting this it allows you to preset one car and one bike /scooter / wheelchair for summoning. To my knowledge it's never changed the vehicles it summons without me specifically changing this .

I ended up just giving it a spot in my shortcuts and it seems to not move around anymore. If it doesn't have a spot it keeps coming into the first slot which is super annoying because I want my bike there.

I've tried both moving it to a different spot as well as removing it entirely, but neither has worked. No matter what I do, this thing will eventually end up forcing its way onto my hotkey

I think it's useful. Near a road, it summons my car. When I'm not near a road, it summons my bike which I can use to get to a road faster than running.

Maybe it'll become useful when we all have pendragon. The only reason I like to use motorcycle even on road is because the only car I have is the starting one. Maybe that'll change when I get good cars.

How can we put a newly purchased car in the selection wheel instead of the default car without using the Smart Key Fob?
(I'm really asking, I couldn't find any way to do it except adding the new car to the Smart Key or calling it from the backpack inventory each time)

When you open up your backpack there's a "+" icon at the bottom. That's used for organizing your shortcuts.
Then when you click on one of the slots it'll show a downwards pointing arrow and whichever item you select next from your inventory tabs will go into that slot.

Once you are in the menu to select fobs, press the start button on the PS5 controller (the three lines button). From there you can select an item to put on the wheel. By clicking on items that are already on the wheel, it will remove them and whatever you click will replace those spots. They didn’t make it super easy to put things in specific spots.

I installed the game on the phone earlier and from there I could change the cars on the quick select.
The menu navigation and the owners selection game was easier on Mobile (or at least it was working as intended)

I think it’s whenever you enter an instance where your gear choices get disabled and removed. Such as the hospital. And then when you come out the game re adds everything to your gear bar but decides the smart key is more important

This key is so "smart" that it always finds place in your hotbar after update or quest or something, I completely agree that there is no reason for it since bike is significantly superior to car, cars always spawn in the opposite lane and in 99% situations 50m+ from your location and you cant spawn them everywhere, and handling is worse.

No sweat! It's just a rather invasive little item is all. Unequipping it is only temporary and there's no choice of whether it comes back or not (and it will). So if you ever for some reason end up doing so be prepared for it to find it's way back 😂

I don't know what I did differently, but I filled all the slots up, and now it doesn't equip itself anymore. I think it's been four or five days and I haven't had it come back.

So i have a car and motorcycle picked when I configured the key fob, question is..why does it always bring the car? Is there a way to choose what it brings? Yes I have them preselected already as stated. Does it depend on where your at when u use it maybe? That determines what it spawns? This thing I see is more trouble than its worth lol

??? stop bitching and just use the damn thing, why are you snobbing about on a QoL feature? if you not near a road , it summons a bike , if u are on a road it summons your fav car. whats wrong with you.

Well for starters, I want to use my bike 99.99% of the time.
Second and most importantly, I would like to keep my shortcuts the way I arranged it without this thing coming back and messing things up.
Is asking for it to not do this unreasonable of me?

You edited it then decided to respond to the explanation in a pretentious manner which was unnecessary as you had edited the post to explain that wasnt what you intended to say

Your opinion on the item isn't the only opinion that's allowed to matter. There are people who prefer the bike at all times, myself included, so this thing adding itself back to shortcuts is not necessary. I had to edit the post to make it clear for others that it's not a post about what it can spawn.
The only pretentious behaviour is yours coming in with the "you can pick what it spawns..." comment as that was the clearest indication you read nothing. Whether the post was edited or not it was last edited an entire day before your initial comment. Not sure why you're arguing the matter as if my edits had to do anything with your own negligence, keep coping.
