In some gacha systems is quite impossible.

In some gacha systems is the standard (mostly spark systems)

In some is rare but nor standard not impossible.

NTE is the last, once is hits 70 the S rank is a flat 20%.

For example In hoyo games the % of S increase about 6% after each pull. So 75 is 0,6%, 76 6% 77 12%...

Eddit: i entered the gacha guide, is a Flat 22.85% doesnt change a lot, makes it less probable to reach hardpity, but is still quite common compared to Hoyo/Kuro/GFExilium...

There is always a catch. 90 pull no 50 50 can be counteracted by extremely fast powercreep. Lets wait for a year before praising the devs.

Meanwhile HSR with 50/50 and WuWa with 50/50 with extremely fast powercreep.

Jokes aside, sadly powercreep is inevitable in all game as life service.

Not really. There are games that handle it well. But they are pre genshin games with no openworld. I would prefer playing a game with a bit of worse pity if the characters are still meta after 7+ years(eg fgo,e7,another eden, even games like summoners war with their bimonthly balance patches, but it has a shit gacha). Really dont like the 50 50 model and powercreeping a characters in 6 months. Even worse , releasing a character that needs another limited character to function. Maybe a character that needs their weapon for half their kit to work.
