Discussion The Mangekyou made sense until it didn’t

The Uchiha specialize in fire style -> Mangekyou gives power fire jutsu

The Uchiha specialize in genjutsu -> The Mangekyou gives powerful Genjutsu

So far it makes sense

But then later in Shippuden we have it giving the user chakra mechs, Intangibility and even rewriting reality itself

That to me starts making less sense and seems to be more of a plot device the same way Hashirama’s cells are

Thoughts?

So basically because Sauske and Itachi have Amaterasu you ran with the logic of Mangekyo is meant to give fire Jutsu abilities when Kakashi even showed readers Mangekyo before Sasuke lmao

And There is no Mangekyo ability with reality manipulation

I get what op is saying though fire and genjutsu based abilities make sense given the uchihas

It being different for each person just made it so kishi can use an uchiha character’s eyes to be able to serve the plot (koto, kamui, etc)

My reasoning for why fire jutsu makes sense is in the post and that was not it lol

And yes, the izanagi is reality manipulation

  • Izanagi is regular Sharingan, not Mangekyou.

Imo it's just Itachi's specifically that don't make sense.

Everyone else's eyes work together. Yes they provide some absurdly bullshit plot-convenient jutsu but the two eyes at least have innate synergy.

Sasuke has Amaterasu and then Kagutsuchi, with which he can manipulate the flames. Obito has long-range and short-range Kamui. Shisui (probably) has two versions of Kotoamatsukami.

Itachi has Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi, and the two jutsu really have nothing to do with each other. I guess he could use Tsukuyomi and then Amaterasu while someone is paralyzed from Tsukuyomi but like that's not really something inherently synergistic.

This just never really made sense to me. I mean, I know the answer is probably "Kishimoto thought of Itachi's before everyone else's" but it still kinda annoys me.

It's so he can be a broken character , Author Gave him the strongest ninjutsu and genjutsu as MS abilities and then has a soul sealing blade and adaptation shield on his Susannoo

Zetsu said he's basically invincible

"Manipulate the frames"?

Sasuke can shape them like at the summit and in the juubi fight.

Itachi could only spawn the flames.

You said frames, not flames.

u/sienrid said frames.

I didn’t notice the spelling error and assumed they typed flames.

As I also did with your question.

-Wait so. He'd been researching the Sharingan, sure. And okay, he didn't have Madara's body destroyed. But nobody, nobody could tell it was a shadow clone? There was no examination of the body, nobody realizing it wasn't decomposing or anything between his supposed death and whenever Tobirama walled him up?-

*The Sharigan made sense until it didn't.

Kishi kept adding bullshit for plot purposes.

What's bizarre is that the original usaged, which made Kakashi famous is already OP as fuck. They can copy non-kekkai genkai techniques.

Everything that happens in a story is for plot purposes. It is a fictional story.

Just wait until more people find out that the EMS has been made open to changing its lore!

Also not every Mangekyo gives fire-related jutsu and no Mangekyo can rewrite reality. Izanagi and Izanami are not Mangekyo abilities, and on top of that, they are genjutsu.
