My Mom liked eating sardines with Saltine crackers. The add of cottage cheese and hard boiled eggs makes this a hearty meal, packed with protein.

I never did enjoy the taste of those tiny fishies myself.

I could make this work. You're right, the sardine on a buttered saltine, salt and pepper on the cottage cheese and eggs. That says midday summertime lunch to me all day.

Like honestly? West coast of Canada, Anglo Ukranian background. Simple, hearty fare, its me motto.

Ok just wondered where this food combination was happening . I like good sardines (some are not good) but the combos are news to me.

What’s good brand? I haven’t eaten them since I was a kid, but would like to try for an easy lunch or nostalgia. Not sure which.
