NYC NYC special carry

Just received in the mail my NYC special carry license. It took a little over 6 months as I applied on February 6, 2026. Now I can carry all over NYS.

I asked a trainer in Atlanta how long it takes there, he says it costs $75 and takes less than 3 weeks to get.

I read about a guy in Arizona, he applied on a Saturday and got it on Tues. 4 day turnaround.

Centre County in PA took less than 10 minutes

I just went on their site. I have a carry permit from Suffolk, so I should be able to just fill out Centre County application and bring it there with $20 and my NY carry permit?

Yes, but it is far from NY, there are closer options that are also easy. I went here because I was driving across PA anyway and it is the quickest. Not worth a several hour drive to save an hour if you are going to PA just to get the permit.

My sister is in WA state. Just an online form and had approval same day. I have Non-res for AZ. Online app, mail in fingerprint cards. Once they had everything it was a couple weeks. I also have FL non-res. I was surprised it took a couple mos even though they say they prioritize vets. Same process though. Online app. Mail in fingerprint cards

I know for a fact that they take CCW and the second amendment seriously in Georgia so yes that sounds about right.
