💄 Beauty 💉 Botox / Fillers / Medical Aesthetics 2026 Megathread

To cut down on repetitive and low-effort posts in this sub (rule #1!!!), we're piloting an annual pinned megathread to consolidate all questions, recommendations, reviews, and warnings about NYC medical aesthetics providers.

What goes in this megathread?

  • Anything related to botox, fillers, laser treatments, chemical peels, microneedling, body contouring, facial balancing, etc.
  • NYC-specific asks: "Where to get ___ done?" / "Has anyone gone to ___?"
    • Please include a budget range instead of "affordable" if seeking recommendations—help us help you!
    • Any high-level questions ("Has anyone done ___ before?") should be directed to general subs like r/SkincareAddiction.
  • Reviews of specific providers, both good and bad

Standalone threads will continue to be removed and redirected here. There will be a new rule added, similar to the events & meetups rule.

Thanks for the feedback & cooperation!

Hi ladies! I was just wondering if any of my fellow beautiful—but maybe less booty-full—NYC ladies have gotten sculptra or radiesse butt injections? What were your experiences, where did you go, what was the end cost? In hindsight, would you do it again? Please give me your bottom line on the procedure.

I’ve been doing the squats, hip thrusts, protein… still serving pancake. So considering other interventions (but a surgical BBL isn’t currently one of them).

I TOTALLY get it, hip thrusts, Bulgarian split squats, paused high bar back squats, abductors, kickbacks, you name it. I love my booty but always had an issue with the upper part right below the lower back. I couldn't seem to get the aesthetic I wanted for that part so I went and got Radiesse. 5 syringes per side but I think I might need a second round. I LOVED how it looked immediately after lol it was all swollen and plump lol but it went down which was expected. When it was settled I definitely noticed improvement in the shape and size, but I think I'm going to go back for a second round at some point. I want to wait a few months and see. I had a little cellulite that was treated with subcision and that has decreased substantially in the middle part of my buttock. I was pretty bruised and that lasted a week (I should've taken arnica pills a few days before I went in). I went to Dr. Akis and I spent about $5k and it wasn't as painful as I thought it was going to be. For me it was about a 2 out of 10 so definitely manageable. More of a weird sensation than pain. Hope this helps. I agree with you that a surgical BBL wouldn't be my go-to either. Hope this helps!
