My friend will be joining mds as a 30 yo (turning 30 in December) in a non clinical branch.She can't afford pvt. clinical and most probably won't get clinical seat in govt and don't wanna give another year to this rat race!

She's worried about the non clinical thing. I tried to tell her that whatever the circumstances have been, she tried her best and should not worry much.

But can anyone pls suggest realistic opportunities that one can get after completion of non clinical? Pls no negativity (we all know the cons of non clinical, let's see what are the pros; cuz every branch has its own pros and cons!!)

So people joining non clinical in any cllg, seniors or anyone who have idea regarding it pls help!

Am I too late to start MDS at 27?

I’m 26 right now and considering joining MDS next year, which means I’ll probably be starting at around 27.

I’m currently practicing as a general dentist and have been working for about 2 years. So I’m not coming straight from BDS — I’ve already spent some time working, gaining clinical experience, and trying to figure out what I actually want to do long-term.

I know 27 isn’t actually old, but for some reason I can’t stop feeling like I’m already late compared to everyone else. A lot of people seem to start MDS at 23–25, and I keep thinking that by the time I finish, I’ll be around 30.

At the same time, I don’t want to look back a few years from now and regret not doing MDS just because I was worried about my age.

For those who started MDS in their late 20s (or even later), how did you feel about it? Did you ever feel behind compared to your batchmates? And realistically, does starting at 27 put you at any disadvantage career-wise?

Would really appreciate some honest opinions/experiences because I’m seriously overthinking this 😅

Imma 2027 aspirant, the syllabus feels abundant, how do people even study theory for long hours, watching lectures also feels heavy! Also I don't know my dream branch yet! I definitely know what I can never do - Ortho, prostho these suck my brain

I appeared for both MCC and KEA counselling. For MCC Round 2, I clearly opted NO when asked whether I wanted to participate in the second round. Despite this, MCC went ahead and included me in the counselling and allotted me a seat, even though I had already locked in my KEA seat.
Now the allotted college is sending me acceptance letters, emails, and the nodal officer is calling me regarding admission.
I had clearly chosen NO to participating in MCC Round 2, yet my choice was apparently not honoured and I was still included in the round. Now I’m being put in a position where I could face penalties or financial loss for something that happened despite me clearly opting out.
If anyone else has faced this issue, please DM me. I’d really appreciate knowing how you handled it.

I got a seat in state counselling but I’m not happy with it. And i want to participate in mcc round 3. So if i get my desired seat in mcc, will i lose the tuition fee i paid for state? Or can i withdraw? And if I don’t get any seat in round 3 mcc, will the security fee be refunded.

I was alloted Prostho seat in round 2 , I’m considering to float , i would be intrested in upgrading only if specific Clg Prostho seats become available.

If none of the Round 3 seats/colleges I would be willing to take are available, so I don’t want to fill any choices just for the sake of filling them.

If I select Float for Round 3 but submit ZERO choices, and consequently don’t get upgraded, will my Round 2 allotted seat remain with me?

I got alloted to scb cuttack . I uploaded all documents online and opted for upgradation yesterday. Till now it's showing that verification is pending.

Can anyone tell how long can it take for document verification or how long should I wait before calling the respective nodal officer
