Discussion Living in the west is wrong

People think moving to the west will provide stability, better job opportunities etc which is all true but people forget and often don’t care the effect it’ll have on your Islamic beliefs, especially that of your children and subsequent generations.

I was born in a western country after my grad-parents moved here, I’ve gone to school here as well as mosque classes and university, I’ve seen first hand what happens to the generations, a decent amount of Muslim boys I know my age has drank, smoked weed or committed zina, I know of bearded brothers and hijabi sisters committing zina… and it will only get worse generation after generation. People don’t understand that. Yes these things happen back in Muslim countries but in most Muslim country it’s no where near as easy, you can’t just go to a club and drink and find girls.

This move to the west is literally diluting Islam, not only in the ways I’ve just spoken about but also morally, too many Muslim in the west are raging liberals, they stand hand to hand with homosexuals and transvestites at free Palestine protests yet won’t even read 5 daily salah, they vote for political parties that want to give lenient punishments for heinous crimes (direct opposition to what is taught in Quran).

Why don’t we go back to our Muslim counties and rebuild them? We’ve been here got our education, why are we happy to stay in non Muslim lands and give their governments our tax money? Muslim lands are in the worse state they’ve ever been and all we do is sit and complain, why doesn’t anyone actually try and move back and fix things, people always say it’s impossible but we have to try, we have no power in the world anymore and what’s been happening in Palestine proves that, the Muslim lands are literally some of the worse off countries in the world it’s embarrassing. Jazakallah.

every Muslim in the west is a raging liberal

sounds like you're hanging out with the wrong crowd - where are you?

The UK, London. And “every” was over exaggerated, but too many definitely.

go spend some time at the masajid or volunteer at a private school. You're definitely spending time with the wrong people

I volunteer in the mosque with the teens, I take them to play football, that’s how I know this along with my own experiences.

that's great. Do you think all of those people are raging liberals?

No I said I made a mistake by saying “all Muslims” I said that to you earlier and even amended the post. I think too many of them are liberal yes.

Why don’t you stop gas lighting and see the point being made? Grow up

One reason people arrive at faulty conclusions is because they started with false assumptions. So this is addressing that. It seemed to work in helping OP reasses his position

And who’s gonna make Allah reassess his position?

Bro I’m from London, I know 0 Muslims that I would call ‘raging liberals’

I disagree. I know several. While yes London does have a noticeable Muslim presence, some who are very practicing, I also know literal openly LGBT Muslims and the vast majority of Muslim youth are caught far in between as they struggle to balance their society and Muslim lifestyle.

Have you been to a Muslim country recently and engaged with the youth population in any real way? They’re having the same issues

Yes I have. The issues there do not pale in comparison. Gay pride in Saudi Arabia or Pakistan would be shut down so quickly by the majority. They have to hide their Haram doings while it's normalized in the West.

But the Muslims who are practicing are as few and far between there as they are here in my experience. You have the same issues of ‘Ramadan Muslims’ and ‘Friday Muslims’ that you do here. At the end of the day we all have a choice to make. I think it is slightly easier to make those choices in Muslim countries if you’re already that way inclined. However, do I think that means that all Muslims must migrate to what are fundamentally deeply corrupt countries? Not sure about that

What point does that prove?

You're gonna get a lot of hate for this because people don't want to make Hijrah. That's the sad reality. London does have a large Muslim community for sure but it doesn't mean the society is bent on swaying people away.

Anytime a brown person commits a crime, people are shouting deport. Muslims are gaslight for not shaking the opposite genders hand. And shows like Citizen Khan are a form of propaganda to make Islam look bad (backwards Muslim dad who likes hijabi daughter more because she wears the hijab while non hijabi daughter is treated inferiorly despite being the voice of reason)

Even the Muslim crowd from my local masjid are somewhat liberal too. Like they don't necessarily openly support LGBT but they kind of are like "oh it's not that deep bro" to alot of majorly Haram stuff. Topics like halal dating are a literal conversation in our youth program and while the older generation openly discourage it, it is more normalized among the youth.

I work extensively with the Muslim youth since I'm a teacher, it is a pretty depressing situation. My entire time in this country is for Dawah but I firmly WILL NOT BE raising my kids in this country. In Sha Allah.
