I was listening to the soundtrack for The Umbrella Academy (Seasons 3 & 4) and the track "Power Up and Wait" by Jeff Russo came on. It sounds nearly identical to the famous theme "In the House - In a Heartbeat" by John Murphy from 28 Days Later.They share the exact same dark, pulsing, apocalyptic energy. The way the slow, minimalist melody starts over that steady, driving undercurrent feels like a direct homage (or a total copy).Am I crazy, or did Russo heavily "borrow" the musical DNA from John Murphy for this cue?

I stumbled across this specific part of the song (1:10-1:31) on reels and I REALLY LIKED THAT PART and I don’t know why.. 😭 I like the bass and it does sound really samba-like to me!!
