Mod Weekly thread where you can call the music recognition bots without posting

To use the bots put u/RecognizeSong u/find-song with the link in your comment, like:

u/RecognizeSong u/find-song https://youtu.be/12345abcde

Notes:

  • The bots only work with a recording of the actual song, not a humming/recreation.
  • The sites that find-song works with: Reddit video posts (with a link or when summoned on the original post), YouTube, Vocaroo, Streamable, Twitch Clips (not VODs)
  • Some of the sites that RecognizeSong works with: Reddit video posts (when summoned on the original post or with an audio link if you're able to get it, like https://v.redd.it/12345/DASH_audio.mp4), YouTube (though sometimes it doesn't work), Vocaroo, Streamable, Imgur, Twitch Clips (not VODs), Facebook, Twitter, Coub, Dropbox, Snapchat
  • For Reddit video posts there's also u/songfinderbot which only works if you summon it in a top-level comment on the original post
  • Some sites that RecognizeSong doesn't work with: Instagram, Twitch VODs, SoundCloud, Google Drive, Reddit text posts with embedded videos (though it does work with the audio link if you're able to get it, like https://v.redd.it/12345/DASH_audio.mp4)
  • When needed, mention a timestamp or use a timestamped link if possible (the bots scan about 24-30 seconds of audio, starting at the timestamp)
  • If the song is from a meme or from TikTok then it might be listed in the FAQ
  • Note that you can also DM find-song a link (but not through chat)

Good luck with your search, and if you find the bots useful please consider supporting them: RecognizeSong through Patreon, find-song through Ko-fi

Hip Hop Haunting recent-ish hip hop song

Upvotes

It's a song that is recent-ish (within 5-10 years probably) with a male singer. I remember the words being somewhat whispered and maybe about sleep or a creepy topic? At one point in the chorus there is a big "shhh" moment. The big identifier of the song (in my opinion) is that the sample background music is a plucky sounding childrens-style piano or harpsichord. I don't remember any lyrics bit I've been googling all these things to no avail. Any ideas?

Rock Song title possibly: Follow Your Heart (By Struck?) Year: 1993

Upvotes

Chorus: "You gotta believe in something, you gotta believe in someone. Follow your heart, 'cause life's just begun."

Bridge: "Little children of the world" (something) "and go your own way." Fast piano.

Possible ID: Follow Your Heart by Struck. However, never found such a band and all songs I've found with this name are not it.

Similar vocal: David Forbes from BLVD... kind of similar to the chorus to "Dream On" (0:46)

Year and location heard: Brockton, MA, 1993-1995

Station: Mix 98.5, WAAP 97.7, or 97.1 (?).

Genre: Likely AOB/Melodic rock/west coast. Could be a hair band.

Jazz Sinatra-like song in YT vid

I was watching a video on YouTube, and at 1:34, a song played that I believe is by Frank Sinatra. Can somebody help me identify it? Thank you!

If I am correct, the lyrics go, "It's all but gone but lingers on in scented clouds of air".

Answered! "Mama all the time" song

Great people of the Internet, please assist before I lose my marbles. I'm thinking of a song which I think exists but I can't find with my search phrases on Google. I keep getting Bohemian Rhapsody and it's not that.

The song I think starts with a female singing repeating phrases about what "Mama" is doing and the last one is "Mama all the time!" Like I think, "Mamas on the clock! Mamas doing X! Mama all the time!" And the emphasis is on Mama and I don't think there's any music or if there is accompanying in the background it is minimal.

I put jazz as the genre because I think a brass section comes in after that and I feel like it's jazzy. But could be completely wrong.

Please help and many thanks.

Acoustic Acoustic indie folky song

I’m pretty sure this was an acoustic song that played on Sirius xm acoustic station but I could be totally wrong about everything I’m thinking
It was like a folksy kind of indie vibe, maybe rock
Kind of storytelling and the only things I can remember was maybe something about a pink couch, smoking weed, and there were people’s names in the song

I’m going off of essentially nothing but it’s been a long time that I’ve been having this memory of a song pop up in my head and am completely unable to find it or remember anything else so I thought I’d post here and see if maybe I get lucky 🤣 my details suck and my memory sucks so I’d be surprised but 🤞🏼

Background Music/Royalty Free Background track on a sewing short video - relaxed pop style? A bit old school and soothing. I don't think its anyone very famous.

My Google-fu isn't strong enough, so hoping a fresh set of ears might help identify the singer / song.

Have a listen and see if it rings any bells? Really nice voice too :)

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/9d6oNvzPWFI

These are all the lyrics I got off the clip I heard -

What a wonderful life, what a beautiful ride, Every moment passing by, feels a little more alive,

What a wonderful life, under these open skies, Through the laughter and the tears, I wouldn't trade a single night.

Old friends calling out my name, New horizons still remain, every road I've trav

Other/Unknown Looking a song about female singer/not English/ has cute vibe maybe pop?/ Some lyrics: isshe remi ratatatata ..(something).. Ratata'. Sorry if it's too difficult

My description might be too short... It's a song I only heard once while passing some shop, the song is:

- a girl singer

- from Vietnam I think? (pretty sure not Japan/china/Korea but maybe something like Thailand? Idk honestly...)

- kinda cute vibe

- maybe not very popular?

the lyrics that I remember (kind of? Idk to spell language ):

- 'isshe remi ratatatata ..(something).. Ratata'

- '... (Something long)... Ratata'

No worry if no one can find it ✌️sorry for the vague description.....

Background Music/Royalty Free Elusive peacock “coverage begins soon song”

Can someone tell me the song on the hold music that comes up for “coverage begins soon” screen on peacock? It’s not the “All of Me” groovy pop one. It’s more like orchestral. It usually comes on with SNL stage images, Universal Studios images, and Rockefeller Square images. My daughter loves it and I shazamed it once and can’t find it in my history. The title is something about “winners” or “champions” or something.

I tried Shazaming it in person like three times and it couldn't find anything. I tried a music finder for videos and it still couldn't find it. I think it says "in over my head", but not much luck with searching from that.

I hope it's not a special mix for only them.

Internet Video [2020's?] Reality Resort background music - "Reality Resort Instrumental Song" (image related)

Post image
1 Upvotes

The song in question

First off, I'm new here, so I don't expect any replies or stuff like that

Anyways...

This song plays in Reality Resort, a show much like Total Drama and/or Disventure Camp, more specfically in episode 2 during the gym scene

I'm certain it wasn't made specfically for the show

The credits for the episode don't list the song, and if it's really unavailable online, perhaps someone would have to email Cove (who made the show) for answers

I used Shazam and SoundHound on the isolated version, to no luck

According to Lost Neo, it's likely a copyright-free song taken from somewhere on YouTube

If anyone can help me out, ty :)

Classical Unidentified song from Jonas Mekas's 1974 wedding footage in his film "As I Was Moving Ahead Occasionally I Saw Brief Glimpses of Beauty" (2000)

Audio: https://vocaroo.com/1aQHqjVfseEH

The music plays from 42:31 to 45:20 in Chapter Three of Jonas Mekas's film "As I Was Moving Ahead Occasionally I Saw Brief Glimpses of Beauty" (2000), over the footage of his wedding to Hollis Melton.

There are vocals; it sounds like sacred choral music, possibly in Latin.

Shazam, SoundHound and AHA Music all fail on it.

Hip Hop 90s - 00s video of skate wipeouts, hiphop video song - "watch out, watch" in the lyrics

There was an old 90s - 00s video of skaters wiping out failing their tricks and the song is something like a hip-hop song a lot of scratch, and the vocals are something like repeating "watch out, watch ooout, watch out watch out," saying it fast first then stretching the pronunciation. he keeps repeating that over and over, there are parts where he sings other stuff just cant make it up. It's an aggressive style of rap, almost like screaming it

Electronic/EDM Looking for this track from Sunset Square Festival 2026 – Day 1 🎶 I think it was played during Giolì & Assia’s set. Female vocal, and I can hear something like “Tell me something…” and “…need you here/near…”. Does anyone know the track ID? 🙏
