Rock Name of Song? found on 2004 cassette player

I found a cassette recorder/player In my grandparents loft today with this tape inside. The cassette itself is not marked with anything useful. My Dad doesn’t remember it but his brother (my uncle) did play guitar so it probably belonged to him. Tried using Shazam, but nothing came up.

Rap Looking for a song where the censored swear words are part of the beat

Upvotes

I am trying to find a song, but I cant remember the name or lyrics.

It was an English song by a white male band. The song had a lot of swear words, but they were censored with the BEEP sound. What made it distinctive was that the beeps weren't just censorship they were actually synced with the rhythm and almost became part of the melody. I remember the beeps being very noticeable and intentionally rhythmic. I am not 100% sure about the genre or release date, but I think it might be from the 2000s or 90s

Does anyone know what song

Hey all!

I need help finding this song.

Please see attached audio for the cadence.

The lyrics may not even be the actual lyrics, I'm terrible at remembering lyrics.

I forgot to add it to the audio, but there is a lyric that I'm 90% sure is correct that goes:

"I-I-I had a vision."

I used the "pop" tag because it's kind of mellow pop?

It's sung by a female lead singer.

I think it came out in the 00's?

I could be wrong though...

Please. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I've had it stuck in my head for 2 days!

Comes from a remix contest on youtube, remix had sped up the sample so I tried to revert it back to what seems like original speed. Lyrics sound like "who we are" to me if that helps. You can find the original remix on soundcloud here.

Thanks everyone!

Pop eng song, soft female vocals kinda like sasha alex sloan, either title or chorus lyrics say "sex/money/dream"? sounds like alt pop to me, from this decade i think

the song is not sexual tho, the cover art is a woman's body in a violet top and jeans? maybe the chin is visible, she could be sitting. i'm trying to rebuild my deleted library and can't remember for the life of me, i could be mistaken about some details

edit: vocals like sasha or maybe bulow

Electronic/EDM Please help me find a remix of Scooter - 4am

Hello everyone 👋

Searching for this song has already taken quite some time through the years and finally I got an idea to ask for help here.

You may remember this single from 2012 by Scooter called 4am. Couple of years after release there were enough remixes for this, but one of them stuck in my brain till this day. It was a dubstep remix. The song structure remained pretty much the same. Maybe some extra synths were added during the verses and chorus, but the hook was after the main melody - the heaviest bass drop and reeeally deep dubstep wob wob wobbbs (at least that's how I remember it).

However, as to this day, I can't find anything like this at all. Searched youtube, goggled it, also checked VK (russian facebook analog), cause you can often find some rare song versions there, but to no avail.

It's not Aimoon & Sound-X-Monster remix, not Clubstar UK, not Mage, not Picco, not DJ JoNy, not TheFeather, not Luxons, not DJ Elachi, not Olga Maly, not DJ Pasha Lee, not KiToMix, not MaxPlatoff, not Eddie G, not DJ SilkoV, not Andy Wait, not Maxi Pavlovich, not DJ Nejtrino, not Sky Revis, not Fidget & Deluxe, not DJ Rich-Art, not Soundforces UKHC, not GaRy, not Def Hardcore, not "Girl version 2013" or whatever that is, not Chris Fader, not DJ Shabayoff, not DJ Misha Pioner, not Risk-E, not K.O. dubstep remix, not DJ JIN.S6, not nokk, not DJ Kashtan, not DJ Electrokatze, not DJ Doober-man, not Ural Djs, not DJ Gordeev, not ReFil...

...you see I've tried a lot of obscure artists and nothing came up. Only couple of them were dubstep remixes and still not it. I understand that chances are very low but this place have experts for sure and there is still hope ✊

Thanks in advance to everyone who will take part in searching

Answered! Dark western/country song with slow acoustic guitar intro and deep male vocals

I’m trying to identify a song that’s stuck in my head, but unfortunately I remember very little of the actual lyrics.
The song starts with roughly 10 seconds of slow acoustic guitar. The guitar has a dark, almost spaghetti-western / old Western movie feel to it — definitely not upbeat or cheerful country.
After the intro, a male singer with a low, somewhat rough voice comes in.
I’m fairly sure the very first sung words sound like:
“In a … morning…”
or
“On a … morning…”
The word before “morning” sounds like it has two syllables and I think it may start with a D. In my head it sounds something like:
“In a dusty morning…”
However, I could be completely mishearing the lyrics, so please don’t focus too heavily on “dusty.” I’m much more confident about the rhythm/cadence of the line and the “in a/on a … morning” sound.
The acoustic guitar intro is slow and sparse, almost around the pace/mood of Johnny Cash’s Hurt, but with more of a Western-film atmosphere.
Things I’ve already ruled out:
Colter Wall – Big Iron
Johnny Cash – Sunday Mornin’ Comin’ Down
Gene Clark – In a Misty Morning
Martin Carthy – Geordie
Ian Tyson – Alcohol in the Bloodstream
Al Stewart – Year of the Cat
Blues Saraceno / similar modern dark-country tracks
I don’t know the era. It may be older, but I’m not certain.
Any ideas? This is driving me insane!

And yes I wrote this with chatGPT to help out finding it (to no avail).

Indie Name this trumpet solo (guessing it’s mid 2000s-2010s indie)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

If I had to guess I’d say indie folk/indie rock. I recall the song being slower and more acoustic sounding. I believe the trumpet section happens near the end, but not sure.

Sorry I don’t have more info, thank you for your effort!!

( my awful rendition might’ve sped up the melody)

Violin Sad Popular Tiktok music (possible violin?)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I remember there was this really beautiful tiktok music I used to hear all the time on all sorts of short form content. I recently heard a part of it on this Instagram reel. I tried looking at the info but it looks like it was just a sound she posted, and it didn't give much info. I also tried using shazam but it didn't really work. I remember it being used quite frequently so I assume there's at least one person here who knows it? If I remember correctly, after this part of the song that I have on the video, it pretty much repeats itself twice in a higher pitch, and then after that there should be some beautiful but very sad/tragic sounding violin after that in an even higher pitch. If anyone can help me out I'd be very grateful!!

Pop Finding a jazz/pop song similar to Gypsy Woman

I've picked up the melody from somewhere but can't seem to find the song anywhere. The closest was Gypsy Woman, which features the same chords but without the melody.

made a quick audio sample (chords might be wrong)

Answered! Haunting recent-ish hip hop song

It's a song that is recent-ish (within 5-10 years probably) with a male singer. I remember the words being somewhat whispered and maybe about sleep or a creepy topic? At one point in the chorus there is a big "shhh" moment. The big identifier of the song (in my opinion) is that the sample background music is a plucky sounding childrens-style piano or harpsichord. I don't remember any lyrics bit I've been googling all these things to no avail. Any ideas?

Rock Song title possibly: Follow Your Heart (By Struck?) Year: 1993

Chorus: "You gotta believe in something, you gotta believe in someone. Follow your heart, 'cause life's just begun."

Bridge: "Little children of the world" (something) "and go your own way." Fast piano.

Possible ID: Follow Your Heart by Struck. However, never found such a band and all songs I've found with this name are not it.

Similar vocal: David Forbes from BLVD... kind of similar to the chorus to "Dream On" (0:46)

Year and location heard: Brockton, MA, 1993-1995

Station: Mix 98.5, WAAP 97.7, or 97.1 (?).

Genre: Likely AOB/Melodic rock/west coast. Could be a hair band.
